Introduction
Some of you have may have noticed my struggle with building a 1TurnWin deck with Quetzal: Free Spirit. I realized ( and @Difrakt pointed out as well ) that with MaxX: Maximum Punk Rock I have a built in draw engine.
I then read about using False Echo in conjunction with DDoS. I forget whose deck I read about, but this appears to be a common trick.
This leaves me with my card choices, which are explained below. Before that, I can say for sure that the following decks / tricks will be hard to beat:
1) Jinteki decks: The Noble Path and Guru Davinder should help.
2) Haarpsichord studios: Employee Strike.
3) When there are few agendas and all / most of them are not in r&d: Still working on that.
All comments and suggestions welcome!
V4.0
I think I might have a solution for the opponent having most of their agendas not in R&D, as well as not having many agendas to begin with: if I do a Demolition Run on R&D, then I can deck them the next turn.
The problem with this, is of course cards that allow recursion for the corp, mainly agendas and Jackson. Therefore, I may need to run ahead of the winning runs for this deck to work. This takes away from the fun of running once and winning, but I would say that's fine, especially given how far this deck is from the meta. I would trade the kick of winning once, in 1 turn with winning more but not necessarily in 1 turn.
While I did remove Employee Strike, I feel Demolition Run can handle that absence.
I also moved away from the DDoS and False Echo model; that trick is not consistent enough with Medium ( as opposed to Keyhole, which a fellow player pointed out to me a working model ).
Instead, I will go the traditional route, with using s and icebreakers to make my way through ICE.
My final concern is moving away from the #1TurnWin model that I always wanted to develop. Practically, running could also cause problems with provoking meat damage and tags. For the first concern, I guess I am willing to run prior to the winning turn...maybe the winning turn will provide enough of a kick to rationalize making an entire deck around that desire. Maybe not. Testing will reveal the truth. For the 2nd concern, I hope the I've Had Worse, Guru Davinder and Plascrete Carapace will help.
Notable inclusions are All-nighter, replacing Amped Up and Temüjin Contract.
Deck size is 4 cards more than the norm...Will cut based on suggestions, advice and play testing.
V3.0
I played against a deck that installed 1 rezzed Ichi 1.0 through Accelerated Beta Test, and V2.0 failed. I included 3 Femme Fatale for such situations. Hopefully, I should be up and running before a 2nd ABT hits the board.
I included some bad publicity cards as well, to make it easier for some match ups. Unfortunately, I had to reduce Guru Davinder to make room for Corporate Scandal and Femme Fatale, but let's see. I included Stimhack for that last minute cash.
V2.0
Card Choices
No ice, no breakers. False Echo and DDoS should help with not having ice on R&D.
The remaining cards are there to help with the final 1TurnWin.
