Jinteki is not just damage!

Diogene 4245

Surprised, I am. Money there is, in the Jinteki faction. This actually work really well, but would the concept work with other Jinteki identity?

Game plan : flatline the runner.

Mulligan plan : You want one ice or one economy card in your hand.

The experiment was done a year ago. Back then, it was okay.

Now, it is good. Really.

The main engine of the deck is Prāna Condenser. It gives us a lot of money and force the runner to play to our game plan. Neurospike allow us to leverage Fujii Asset Retrieval into a kill package. Which double up as an ambush if you put it behind damaging ice with a damaging upgrade.

Damage

Surprisingly, there are enough economy cards in faction to make it viable. With Front Company and Bladderwort, you can have a drip economy. In theory, API-S Keeper Isobel + La Costa Grid would work also, creating a combo that emulate Refuge Campaign.

Karunā is an underplayed card. The number of it are similar to Drafter, but letting it fire is much worse. I would not say it is as good as Anansi, but it is half the price.

All in all, the addition of Fujii Asset Retrieval to replace Obokata Protocol, along with the apparition of Reaper Function, force a much more proactive plan for the corp AND the runner. A runner that doesn't check the remotes will soon face dire consequences. This is good for the faction and for the game.

Try it, the deck has good legs and can even withstand against Mulch type runners. Because nobody play Stargate anymore, and that make Jinteki so much stronger.

Cheers!

I forgot Mganga was a card! I think I last tried that in Chronos Protocol many years ago.

@scd yes! Mganga work well with the game plan and let us proc Prāna Condenser.

I did play Chronos Protocol: Selective Mind-mapping and did some deck. It made me rediscover that I did the same concept in 2021!

Back then, economy was a big struggle for Jinteki. Now, it is much better. Kudos to the design team for that.
