5-1 Solid record. In only remember that my loss came from secomd round and i think R&D leaked early and a Deep Dive sealed the deal.
I played a pretty good last game on stream against @Cahuita
's fascinating Nyusha "Sable" Sintashta: Symphonic Prodigy deck with Tunnel Vision. It should be the last match on the day 1 stream if you want to check it out.
1-2 Lost a game to @bridgeman
, which i should not have lost, if i played correctly. I think i forgot at least 5 Thimblerig triggers at the start of my turn and when i thought of it, i messed it up. You can see that game on stream, it is the first game of day 2. Lost also to @percomis
Esâ Afontov: Eco-Insurrectionist which had a pretty awesome draw to my mulligan into a mediocre draw at best.
1-0 I beat @ExtraC
on his nice Arissana Rocha Nahu: Street Artist deck by killing him with Azef Protocol. I chose to play Ob Superheavy Logistics: Extract. Export. Excel. into his Arissana since it seemed to be pretty good with triple Mavirus on his heavy virus based deck. He could keep me from scoring with the threat of a Clot install when i had not Mavirus ready but in the end i got him to use his Self-modifying Code during a run on R&D by rezzing Stavka. On the last click, having a Paladin Poemu on 3 credits, he installed one of his last 2 cards in hand, which was enough to kill him with an audacitied Azef Protocol.
Compared to the list i played at Danish Nationals, there is one difference is that i switched one Calibration Testing for a Tatu-Bola and a Thimblerig removing the Whitespace in the process. The reason for this change is that you only really need the Calibration Testing once, when you end a run with Border Control on the last click. You don't really want to draw it and you also can shuffle it back in pretty easily with Spin Doctor. Having Tatu-Bola and Thimblerig gives you good targets for your scarce 2-credit cost slot while synergizing well with the general idea of rushing early and being still good late since Tatu-Bola gives you money and Thimblerig combos with rezzed Border Controls on different servers, since you can swap and use the trash ability to make Thimblerig a pseudo Border Control which is pretty nice.
The deck has no real bad matchups as far as I know but I had some rough draws and it turned out that I still need more practice with it because i made mistakes like not using Thimblerig at the start of turn or fetching the wrong card with Ob Superheavy Logistics: Extract. Export. Excel.. I am still very much convinced, that this list is super strong and is only held back by its complexity which i can totally understand.
Thanks for the great event and the unforgetable memories, special thanks to all my friends and teammates from NWE, you guys rock. Would not have made it this far without you.
P.S.: If someone was wondering, why i called this deck Calicana Zoo: It is because Tatu-Bola, Winchester and Tucana are all animals, and with Tatu being the latest addition it just felt like a fitting name.

Thimblerig seems like a hot include, and a great way to improve the Esâ matchup. It's going to take me a little longer to get my head around Tatu-Bola 😅 Congrats on the results! |

I love Thimblerig in Ob, it's so useful. And I always wish I had enough influence for Cali testing. Congrats! |

I love the complexity of the deck. And you have my admiration for piloting it for two long tiring days. Congrats on amazing showing! |

If you go for Wraparound instead, you could also add the second Magnet which seems pretty nice. Anyways, there are lot's of possibilities for the ICE suite for sure, but having a barrier and a code gate on 3 and 2 credits was very useful. |
