Sunny Lebeau's Feather Boa

striatic 17

Feather, because it is surprisingly speedy and light on its feet for a deck with no tutoring and expensive breakers. Boa, because it will slowly asphyxiate and swallow the Corporation whole, much like a Boa Constrictor would a baby goat.*

The premise here is simple, combine Prepaid VoicePAD economy with both Data Folding and Underworld Contact to create a late game powerhouse runner while using The Source and Fall Guy to lock up the Corp and create that late game situation. At that point your unassailable economic advantage, coupled with Globalsec Security Clearance, will eventually end the game.

In nearly every situation you're going to mulligan for draw power. A full third of the deck is high powered economy cards, so finding both quick money and sustainable economy will not be a problem. Your draw power - Quality Time and Earthrise Hotel - will be made hyper efficient by Prepaid VoicePAD and Career Fair respectively, and bring your breaker suite together quickly enough to challenge the scoring remote of a corporation slowed down by The Source either before the agenda count gets out of hand.

Advance-able traps are a threat, since they can bluff around The Source, but in the mid-game your inexpensive draw power and redundant copies of breakers should pull you through. In the late-game you will be using Globalsec Security Clearance to snipe advanceable traps in R&D along with Feedback Filter to help deal with those that slip through the net.

The primary issue with this deck is that games take a long time to play, likely rendering it unplayable in a tournament situation.

*You might want to think twice about searching for that Boa Constrictor/Goat thing.

I think if you just swap The Source for a Medium, a Self-modifying Code and a card of your choice (Traffic Jam if you still want some FA counter) you are going to close out the game much faster. The Source is pretty awful without Film Critic anyway.

Alternatively you could go 3x Chakana, which is still better IMO.

@FarCryFromHuman

I encourage you to really think about how this deck is working rather than simply recommending cards like Traffic Jam or Chakana because they are, in the crudest way possible, somewhat similar to The Source.

Traffic Jam does not persist like The Source / Fall Guy, is useless on the first agenda the corp tries to score, can be broken by other currents and is next to useless against certain agenda Scoring patterns. Chakana is broken with a simple purge and requires multiple runs to activate, which is totally unsuited to the Breaker Suite.

Film Critic is a very poor match with The Source when Fall Guy is already preventing the trash on score/steal. 2 clicks to pull an Agenda off Film Critic in order to save 3 credits isn't worth paying for the Film Critic install. Fall Guy also prevents The Source from being trashed when the corp scores an agenda, which Film Critic does not.

Medium? It is very unsuited to the breaker suite to begin with, and in a meta with News Team it is a non starter here. R&D Interface would be a better suggestion given the dynamics of the deck.
