Like a Ninja!

atomic 297

Designed to make one or two stealthy R&D runs per turn. Get in and get out undetected, LIKE A NINJA! Using Maya to see more cards/get rid of their operation econ, Scrubber to deny them asset econ, and Code Siphon to get out the remaining pieces of your rig. The rest of your clicks are for Kati or ProCo.

I've included an Escher for late game rearranging, ensuring your R&D runs are even more efficient. The WitRD is only in here cause she's in faction and I like her. Could get replaced for more econ. Also not sure if my number of SMCs, Clone Chips, Maya and RDI are correctly balanced. I will need to do some testing...

I think you could probably drop the Clone Chips to save influence. You don't have any expendable breakers, the only program you would recur would be SMC and that's probably unnecessary.

I would instead replace them with at least 2x Lockpick; Switchblade is a stealth-hungry breaker, you want to be using your Cloaks for that and not Refractor whenever possible.

I love Code Siphon in Jessie, but the 3 x ice credit discount doesn't really help you here since you only have one program that costs 3 or more (atman), and it has an expensive "when installed" clause that Code Siphon can't help you with.

Similarly, you only have a couple targets for Modded (Maya, R&D Interface, possibly Atman). I imagine many games you'll find yourself holding a Modded with nothing to use it on. I'd probably cut down to 1 or 2.

I'm also not positive on Technical Writer. Since it costs a click to play and a click to use, you probably want to stock up on it for at least 5 installs. If you get it down early you're fine, but drawing a Writer when your rig is already down is kinda disappointing.

Woman in the Red Dress is intriguing. I really haven't played enough with her to know what makes her work. The most important thing with her is that you can pressure both R&D and HQ, so that if an agenda comes up you can always go get it. If you drop the Clone Chips you have the influence for at least on Legwork or HQ Interface, and if you go down to 1x Scrubber you can have two. HQI would also give you more Modded targets.

Escher is a great call. The greatest weakness of Switchblade decks is servers with multiple sentries, but Escher lets you reorganize to make R&D easy access again.

I think this is a pretty strong archetype, though; stealth Jesminder is going to be a real threat.

You definitely do not have enough hardware/programs to make technical writer worth it, Code Siphon seems good at first but to get a discount on the install you have to pass ice, which means you need it get the last part of your rig when you already have some out, and cloak is not worth using code siphon for. It's too redundant with the SMC's already being there. Since you're in shaper, though, why use Switchblade when you can use Dagger, which is less stealth-intensive and will save you a whopping 8 influence which could go to 2 account siphons or something like that? The stealth setup is good, but I think you should invest more into the cards that synergize with Jess, like at the very least add a few John Masanori. By adding in Film Critic, you can get past Midseason Replacements, and at that point SEA Source and News Team are basically the only way you can get tagged at all. Sprinkle on a motorcycle, and you are nigh untaggable. I realize that is a lot of effort just to tell NBN to piss off, but at this point I'm just sick of them enough to do it. :P

John masanori doesn't combo with Jesminder. You get the tag after the run is over, not during.
