The Sunnish Inquisition (aka Apoc Sunny)

Inquisition

For President of Servers 2018 team Fun Guaranteed*'s runner theme was the mini-factions. With Andy and Ian quickly bagsying Adam and Apex, I was left with Sunny. And I flipping hate Sunny. The only way I could stomach playing her was to try something different. And let me tell you, nobody expects Apocalypse out of Sunny.

"But mcg, Sunny needs to install things to do anything. You don't want them face down on the table!" Fear not, young one. All you need to do is a Chop Bot in hand so that you can start trashing the cards, and then Levy to bring them back into play!

Unfortunately this isn't true. I didn't get close to Levying at any point. The deck doesn't have enough money or draw or anything really. What it does have is Apocalypse, which is always fun*. The highlights were:

  • CtM going for a three card monty opening, when I started with Apoc in hand. Let's just put all those cards in Archives and see if they fire from there. Turns out Beale does!

  • Jinja AgInfusion being so oblivious to the threat that they didn't even clock it after I made a meaningless run on Archives. Surprise!

  • In a game where I was completely locked out against PE I challenged myself to land one. And did. Through two Breached Domes in Archives, Two Kakugos on R&D, and accidentally stealing an agenda from HQ (hey that's a meme!). I ended the turn on no credits, no cards in hand and, most importantly, no cards on the board. Hurrah!

Other than that it didn't go very well. Don't play this deck. Don't play Sunny. But if you have to, play Apoc Sunny
