Wow, a much more detailed response than I would have expected for a deck with no description! I haven't had the opportunity to play this version of the deck yet. I played one game with a fairly terrible version that tried too hard to squeeze in new cards (Comet was a bad choice). All I've had time to do is endless test draws on this page, and I'm seeing something similar, where Tyson Observatory isn't that useful, especially with the raw card drawing power of full Diesel and Quality Time. I'm contemplating cutting it, though I have some ideas. I'd be nervous to go down to one Magnum Opus. It's a dead draw once I've already gotten it, but it's my most important and only recurring economy card. While it's possible to Self-modifying Code for it, that's generally a last resort, and not preferable to Diesel'ing into it. Test Run is another card that I'm conflicted on. It's great with Cerberus "Lady" H1, Femme Fatale, and good with Magnum Opus. It's mediocre to bad as a way to get Study Guide. For now I'm running one to keep my available number of tutors high-ish and to see how it plays when I do draw it. |
I'm not sure Tyson Observatory is worthwhile here. I'd say either drop 2x Astrolabe and 1x Magnum Opus for 3x Tyson Observatory and 1x Replicator (what is quickly going to become the standard combo for Tyson), or cut the Tyson for another Clone Chip, a Dirty Laundry, or a Test Run.
The first choice would let you get scarily large Study Guide out fast via your Lockpicks so that might be the way you want to go.
The second would give you a little more stability. Can't knock that. I don't think you need the second Magnum Opus regardless; you have plenty of tutoring and event econ to keep you on your feet til it comes out.
