AKirkland 33

An experiment in making Midway Station Grid and Stronger Together work. You could also replace the Midways and Sub Boosts with Caprice and Ash if you want to go less hipster, but this is way more fun.

This is... beautiful. I don't think most stores have adequate drainage to handle the torrent of runner tears this deck will cause. Whether it can win through the wailing and gnashing of teeth I don't know, but that isn't really the point is it?

I've got a few comments:

Agendas
NAPD Contract seems like overkill, and you have some really delicious HB agendas you could add. Project Wotan is ideally suited to this deck; anything that adds a is awesome for you. With the smallish amount of ice you have, I'm not sure Accelerated Beta Test is going to do enough work for you; Priority Requisition might be better. Moving from 3/2s to 5/3s will change the tempo of your deck a lot, but with the absurd meatiness of your ice this might not matter.

Econ
Seems strong, but very event-based. You can Howard back in your Restructures, which is terrifying, and Architect can reinstall your Adonis Campaigns from archives, but on average your ice is pretty expensive, especially early game. Eve might be worth considering, but probably I am just being paranoid.

ICE
I know I just whined about ice cost, but this deck cries out for Janus 1.0, Wotan, or any other 4 ice. Each additional or you can drain from the runner is that much more meaningful when you are taxing as much as you already are.

Synergies
Midway and bioroids don't stack, but they force a hard choice when the runner has the correct breaker out. I think you will end up getting clicked through a lot, simply because no runner econ will be able to handle the massive strain of paying to break s. This isn't a bad thing, but worth mentioning. It's also awesome that you don't have to rez this until you see a breaker that can get into the server.

I talked about NAPD already, but if you get lucky and score Utopia Fragment early, I suppose you can just sit behind any two pieces of ice and score NAPDs out to win. This is no different than any other deck running that combo, but with your absurd taxing it might be a little more surefire for you. I still like the other agendas you might splash better, but that could just be me being greedy.

Sub Boost makes all your ICE etr. It also makes them all barriers, but whatever, it costs so much to get through you don't care if the runner only ever installs Corroder. I really think Project Wotan would be super good for you when you finally run out of Sub Boosts.

Bonus Points
All of your sentries are out of Mimic range.

Eli with a single Sub Boost costs Corroder 6 to break... 9 with a Midway in place. You probably paid 3 to rez him.

Caprice and Ash don't listen to good music and look like total try-hards.

Thanks for the glowing review :) I've played a few games with it and I'm quite sure it's the strongest glacier deck I've built so far.

This deck was actually constructed with Brain-Taping Facility in mind (probably replacing the ELP), which is hopefully coming out in the first SanSan pack, and with that in mind some of the choices become clearer. I'm trying to stick with fairly cheap Bioroids so that the potential rez discount becomes quite significant - the aim is for it to become a super-fast glacier that's still very hard to deal with. An iceberg, if you will.

If all goes as planned I'll be able to remove some of the Restructures and replace them with some counters to the two most obvious weaknesses - E3 Feedback Implants and Valencia Blackmail. Possibly Ash might be the best choice there.

You're absolutely right that Project Wotan would be tops, I'll give it a shot. I was fairly conservative with the agendas just because I wasn't sure how the deck would pan out, so there's plenty of room to change things. I don't think I'll use Wotan (the ice) or Janus, though (bit too ambitious if I want to make it fast) but Heimdall is a definite possibility. A sub-boosted Heimdall 2.0 would be just disgusting.

I've already had my crowning moment with this deck, on the first game - HE HAD TO BOUNCE ON A CODE GATE BECAUSE HE COULDN'T AFFORD TO BREAK IT WITH YOGOSAURUS. He'd spend a paintbrush click and an ELP click and everything. I teared up a little.

Wow I hadn't seen Brain-taping) Facility yet. That card is perfect for this deck. I don't know if it's a hard trade for ELP but it absolutely needs a slot. Maybe cut some Howards when the time comes?

I think given the anti-synergy ELP has with it I might try it out and maybe add them back in if I need to. I actually find that the most trouble the deck has is with run events like the cutlery suite and Blackmail, anyway. I've considered cutting Howards but I think they're too good for ABT, which is one of the only ways I currently have to fight Blackmail. In fact, I'm considering putting in a Biotic Labor or two to allow me to score them without getting them stolen.

Oh, and I tried Project Wotan out and it's awesome. I also put in a Director Haas' Pet Project, which seems quite strong.

I'm actually surprised cutlery is an issue for you, aside from Forked (trashing your Architects likely hurts). I guess if the runner is playing around the subs then you can't reinstall the ice you lose from archives.

As for bad pub, well, there's always Veterans Program... and/or maybe a single Broadcast Square?
