mulch has seen a lot of success and experimentation since we took it to Worlds. People have tried Miss Bones, Buffer Drive, Gachapon, Self-modifying Code, Na'Not'K, Carmen, Reclaim, Boomerang, Mimic, Hippo, Liberated Account, Mad Dash, Hannah "Wheels" Pilintra, Engolo, and all sorts of other stuff. To see this pet deck spawned from crowphie's silly musings get this good and popular was great; that I won a big tournament with it still feels absurd.

In my perennial quest to make Paladin Poemu as bad as possible, I have been adding girlfriends for Hoshiko to be an annoying piece of shit with. This time it's Avgustina Ivanovskaya, which we tried very briefly before Worlds (when we mostly tested against PD), laughed off, and then kept making jokes about when all of our rivals were big on Regenesis. Then krysdreavus came to me and told me to actually play her, so I did, and she's fine. Glacier decks can really grind you out and prevent interaction after a while, and Avgustina puts a lot of pressure on them to close the game a little faster than they're comfortable with. It also pressures R+'s Spin Doctors, preventing them from getting their tag punishment and the like back in a lot of occasions. I still wonder whether Hippo is a better, slightly more generalist slot, but it's always cute to go to a major tournament with something traditionally janky.
