Captain Earhart v3.5 - 6th at SW Regional (1-3)

This is the Padma Amelia Earhart deck that I took to SW Regionals. With a win against Ob and losses against, Punitive Azmari and Built to Blast BTL in Swiss and a loss against Jonalds Ob in the cut. This deck was carried hard by my PE decl that went 4-0, but despite the losses I still really like the deck and could've done better if I'd played better on the day, particularly against Azmari where I missed a line that would've stolen the game-winning Reeducation while I was pretty safe from Punitive.

How I Got Here

I've been trying to get Amelia to work for a while, taking inspiration from Andrej from Metropole Grid I've tried versions with Aniccam, Spark of Inspiration, Lobisomen, and Orca but it struggled against barriers and in particular Weyland with SDS.

From there I looked at Sokka's list using Gachapon and wanted some more Gacha targets and combined it with Bridgeman's Aesop's Lat, and things started to come together a bit more, turns out tutorable Cupellation is disruption and multi-access that works well with your Amelia plan and often the multi-access will just win you the game.

The last step was realising that Physarum was too good not to include and dropping the Gachapons for 1 Entangler and a Bahia Bands, though that last inf could be something else.

So Did Amelia Fire?

Unfortunately, she didn't fire a single time on the day across 4 games, the one time she got near to firing I face-planted a Hammer and lost her. Whoops.

I've found that Amelia works best when you can disrupt the corps plan and the game goes long enough, but Amelia herself can help that as her presence on the board can push faster corps into more central defence than they might like.

Final Thoughts

I'm going to keep playing this deck as it is fun and I think there is something here (maybe just the pile of good Shaper cards). I also want to shout out Baa Ram Wu, Sixtyten, and Nicky 3.0 for running a great event, and to the Oxford Meta for being a great group to play and travel with.
