Concept Utopia

So, this is purely an expansion of an idea. It may not work, I haven't tried it yet, but I'll be playing it this week to see how it rolls.

Premise: I can reduce the chance of my opponent taking my Agendas by minimising the number of Agenda cards.

Utopia Fragment makes 5/3 Agendas more playable, and combos excellently with RSVP, as it makes the RSVP break mandatory to be able to steal an Agenda at all. This also plays nicely with The Future Perfect/Fetal AI, as they come with a built-in defence mechanism that also combos with RSVP. The single NAPD Contract is there because I simply can't settle on anything else for the last space that is worthwhile.

Taken together, I thought I could aim primarily for quite cheap, affordable ICE that contains a lot of EtR, and I had enough deck space to add a side-order of potential death trap Project Junebug to keep Runners on their toes. I was considering Cerebral Overwriter instead, but thought I'd basically get the same effect in-faction by sticking with Junebugs.

I despise finding myself poor, but I'm not keen on Celebrity Gift as I don't like the amount of information it gives away (especially as a Double that comes with a 3cr cost) but between Green Level Clearance/Successful Demonstration/Hedge Fund I'm actually worried I'll not have good, strong things to spend the credits on. Very tempted to reduce the Operation quantity for more ICE, and possibly add a Current even if only to blow up theirs.

Thoughts & ideas welcomed, I might be radically off-piste here, but figured it was worth a go!

There's an obvious opportunity to try & use Fast Track to fetch the Utopia Fragment sooner, as well!

As far as your reducing the Operations to add ICE, one thing to consider would be -2 Successful Demonstrations for +2 Elis.

You also might want to consider finding a spot for either a lone Jackson Howard or Daily Business Show, IMO. Round out your influence while making the deck slightly more annoying to deal with at the same time... :)

Nice thoughts @esutter479 - I'm not prepared to go Eli (Too permeable for my taste, people don't waste clicks around here unless they know they have them 'spare', so I'm not that keen) but if I was going to lose something, I suspect SD would be it.

As I see more & more people relying on their ID, and Currents will only get better to counter as more are printed (Silhouette notwithstanding) I'm actually genuinely tempted to try the generally mediocre-considered Cerebral Static.

Argh, why we can't Edit a published version is beyond me. :(

Heh, I'd start considering Cerebral Static real soon. Noise may make a huge comeback, and I, for one, don't want my NBN Tagstorm deck being milled to death. Static will work against anything that isn't Andromeda, Professor or Valencia.
