Free Lunch (Foundry with Mutate)

Do you like rezzing giant ice for cheap? Do you wish Mutate was playable? Then this is the deck for you!

The ice is split roughly 50/50 between cheap binary ice and huge expensive ice. Use The Foundry on the cheap ice to get it out of R&D, and use Jackson Howard to put any expensive ice you draw back into R&D. Then play Mutate and watch it work wonders!

For what seems like a terrible janky combo, this trick is surprisingly consistent. With a few pieces of cheap ice out, you'll find yourself turning Quandaries into Janus 1.0s on a regular basis. Accelerated Beta Test and Bioroid Efficiency Research add to the fun.

This is the first deck that's made me think "Man, I wish FFG had printed more prohibitively expensive Bioroid ice in Creation & Control."

So, with all these ways to get giant ice out, does this deck win games?

Well, no.

Cards that make this deck sad include: D4v1d, Crescentus, Emergency Shutdown, e3 Feedback Implants, Dagger, Switchblade, Sneakdoor Beta, Imp, Femme Fatale, Atman. Oh and Faerie will derez your Janus 1.0s for 6 credits if you rezzed it with Bioroid Efficiency Research. There's also the fact that the deck is too slow to defend all your servers. It's fun to play though!

If you do decide to give this deck a spin, I recommend thinking of it as a rush deck more than a glacier deck. Try to score out an early ABT behind binary ice, then keep trying to score out behind giant ice and hope the runner can't afford to get through every time.

Maybe cut the Wraparounds for the slightly more expensive Wall Of Static (until Vanilla ICE comes out) and use the influence on some big baddies? At least Tollboth or Wormhole would help out to have a huge code gate as well.

@aermet69 Tollbooth is a great idea, not really sure why I haven't tried it yet. Can't wait for Vanilla!
