Now I Ain't Sayin' She's a Golddigger

convoke 1

Just something I've been working on for play with some friends.

Forged Activation Orders, Crescentus, and Emergency Shutdown make the Corp Poor, while you get rich via Account Siphon, Underworld Contact, and Desperado.

Find the right tool for the job from your breaker suite, and just keep running.

Criminal has the hardest time drawing & tutoring for cards. Having so many 1x breakers is going to make it tough to find what you need. This deck really needs to be more streamlined. Pick a breaker suite and work on getting your cards consistently, which is why people play Andy. Her +1 link makes Underworld Contact look better than it is for this build. Drop those 5 – 7 cards and replace with better economy options like another Dirty Laundry and 3x Armitage Codebusting or Kati Jones . I’d also drop the Prepaid VoicePAD and use that influence on either another copy of Desperado or Scrubber or Film Critic . Finally, you have no R&D multi-access figure out a way to slip in a R&D Interface or Medium. (not hatin’, just helpin’) =) GL!

Hey thanks for your comment!

First off, this was a deck that I wanted to play IRL. When I first made it, I only had one core (1 Desperado, 2 Account Siphon :( ), so a lot of the card choices were built with those constraints in mind. However, I just ordered a second core online this week, so I've been making some changes.

The Prepaid VoicePADs were because I had (and still have) lots of events, and it's on the MWL right? So it must be good... But when I draw them, I always feel like I'd rather install something else. I've already reduced it from 2 to 1 (adding a second Desperado for the influence), and at this point, I have no problem cutting it entirely.

You raise another good point with respect to Underworld Contact. But, I really have a soft spot for permanent econ (the original version of this deck also had Data Folding). But 3 Underworld Contact + 2 Dyson Mem Chip + 2 Access to Globalsec is a lot of card slots. The Dysons also help with MU, though... and with Sneakdoor Beta and Crescentus, I find I often run out/low on MU (which is also why I cut Data Folding :P ). Still, it's definitely worth trying a variant with Kati, Armitage... maybe Daily Casts or Bank Job too.

Finally, the breakers. To be honest, I have only played this deck against a few friends. It would probably be hung out to dry by a real opponent... That said, I haven't really found any issues getting the breakers I need. Special Order when I need that surgical strike, and Mr. Li to get me through my deck faster. And, while it's a lot of one-offs, there's also a fair amount of redundancy. Both Femme Fatale and Faerie for sentries, Cerberus "Rex" H2 and Passport for code gates. Overmind as a stop gap. And by assaulting the Corp's econ, I can often slow the game long enough to draw into what I need (which is sorta why I had Underworld Contact as my main econ engine).

Anyway, I really appreciate the input. I'm going to keep all your comments in mind. You've given me some good stuff to think about (and inspired some other ideas... like Bank Job and Drug Dealer)

I should probably take this deck outside my personal friends-meta to crush my spirits.

You can also play on Jinteki.net if you want to have free access to all the cards & 100's of ppl to play with at any given moment. It's a great way to test decks and see different styles.
