Red Sun

Zankoku 21

The price is never right.

I brought this to a tiny GNK to play some "traditional" corporate glacier, with a gimmicky ID, and it accidentally ended up being good enough to win. Now I'm stuck with a Nero Severn and some poorly cut Data Ravens.

Basically with twelve money operations (Celebrity Gift, Hedge Fund, IPO, Restructure), you should be able to pull together enough funds to rez multiple pieces of gigantic ice, which you will then hide behind for extra value as you proceed to score out. AgInfusion's ability lets you redirect important events like Siphon, Indexing, etc. or even add an extra tax to people only gearing up for a single targeted run, by bouncing them into a Chiyashi or DNA Tracker. Since the select pieces of ice are so strong, you're usually fine with just 2 ice on each server, with maybe a third unrezzed for redirection.

Fairchild 3.0 isn't an overly taxing ice, but it and Chiyashi are pretty much the only ways you're outright stopping runs, which might be important for the remote. Feel free to spread the ice anywhere you want, though. Also feel free to slot out an FC3 for some important influence. I'll go into more detail below, for fun.

Agendas

Global Food Initiative, Nisei MK II, and Philotic Entanglement are just part of a standard Jinteki glacier agenda suite, so there's not much to talk about here.

I chose NAPD Contract because between all the gigantic ice and Caprice, they're probably taxing themselves into the ground just to finally get to the agenda, whether it's in HQ, R&D, or the remote. You can make this even funnier by splashing in Ash 2X3ZB9CY, if you like.

Non-Agenda Installs

Jackson Howard saves you from bad hands and otherwise recurs money operations. He's that card that you need in pretty much every deck.

Caprice Nisei is stupid.

Operations

I just jammed every zero-influence money operation that wasn't Medical Research Fundraiser here, because I don't want the runner to have money to work with. Revealing information with Celebrity Gift isn't all that bad here, since even if they know what ice you're putting down, or if they see that NAPD in your HQ, it's not information that will give them any easy decisions to make.

Scarcity of Resources is a nice cheap current if they made things difficult with EStrike - you can still have your backup plan of Caprice behind giant ice, so that's probably your only real last resort, since corporations usually have a difficult time winning any dedicated current wars - especially here, since I only slotted two.

Big Ice

Chiyashi is MVP. DNA Tracker and Fairchild 3.0 are also pretty great. Susanoo-no-Mikoto is a funny card and, if they're not playing Temujin on archives, enables you to ice archives anyway. Komainu is an okay mid-range ice that does wonders against Faust, but is somewhat weak against Anarchs otherwise (because a lot of them are willing to risk their entire hand anyway). Against stealth, FC3 and Susan are the weakest delivery, and if Gordian Blade is still popular, stacking code gates might work against you; adjust ice slots accordingly.

Macrophage is simple Medium hate. Feel free to pop it as AgInf fodder against anyone not playing Medium.

Everything else are ice that can do their job early on or be sacrificed if you draw into them later. Himitsu-Bako pulls double duty since it can bounce itself back once its relevance is gone.

Cards to Consider

Replanting can make all of your ice become mini-Himitsu-Bakos, while saving on install money.

Friends in High Places is always kind of nice to have.
