Throw it on the ground! (1.3)

Dawnev 49

This deck is approaching its final form. Dedicated Response Team finds its place in punishing Tag-Me builds, without relying on the burst of a Scorched. If they aren't trashing it, they're reducing their runs- and it's gonna be expensive to trash.

Corporate Troubleshooter answers decks trying to get enough money to break your ice, or break them efficiently.

Museum of History and Jackson Howard get the discards back into R&D. Noise Mill, Keyhole, and DLR & Chill, eat your heart out.

Heritage Committee and Jackson Howard pull the weight on card draw.

Museum of History and Snare! mean R&D isn't fun to pound intensely, and the Snares are a lot harder to follow.

Shock! and Shi.Kyū protect Archives, make sure you only pay one credit for the Shi.Kyus to get the most benefit- a runner taking the tax will lose faster.

9 agendas that require 4 steals for a win hurts. Medical Breakthrough gets easier to score out, so if they get one you're even closer to victory with the horizontal shell games.

Himitsu-Bako, Cortex Lock and Crick are decent early Siphon protection, and Mutate lets them move aside for free Shinobi and Assassin.

Shinobi and Assassin are kill cards- with the money you're making from free econ, you can easily beat the traces and land a kill on a taxed out and exhausted runner.

The deck causes ragequits. It gets hate. And it's relaxing to play, as you smile and wait for your opponent to make a misstep. Welcome to the new shell game. No Caprice. No Ash. We're gonna make them remember how to fear us. Let them find the Snares. Let the remember which server has the agendas. The chances of a mistake are endless.

Mental Health Clinic isn't helping you here with kills. I also think that you're probably going to need more tagging options than the Snare!, otherwise their chances of a mistake are not endless, they are more like slightly less than 15 percent. News Team is a solid import into IG these days - as is Kitsune. Nothing like handing the Runner a Snare! they can't trash.

That said, I do like the Komainu - Corporate Troubleshooter, but it's expensive to flip - as is Assassin. I think you're going to need more econ than you have here, given that MHC is totally anti-syngergistic with what you're going for. Sundew can be solid out of IG as well, as can Celebrity Gift and Medical Research Fundraiser, and Turtlebacks is never a bad call since you're going horizontal anyhow.

Also consider an AI-hater like Swordsman. One thing I noticed with my IG shenanigans deck is that the Eater-Archives thing absolutely neuters you since they don't access, but flip all cards face-up anyhow, resetting your trash costs.

Komainu-Corporate Troubleshooter isn't the combo I'm going for. Mental Health Clinic hasn't hurt me, since I'm not trying to get them down to zero cards for a flatline, most runners end up milling themselves with the amount of net damage they accumulate. I was running Sundew before, but I was more frequently spending time defending it, or sitting pretty at 30 credits that I didn't need. I'm trying to trim off the cards that were nice, but weren't advancing things anymore.

Without DRT, I don't have a tag punishment, and I'd have to give it up to run News Team. My bigger issue has been running into Keyhole Maxx and not being able to punish her running tag me. And I'm not a fan of Kitsune, it's a one-off fire. The Snare isn't intended to kill a runner hitting R&D so much as to make them think twice before hitting it. The chances may be less than 15%, but there's a 9:2 ratio of an agenda to that Snare. Which climbs higher over the course of a game.

You're still only running 2 tagging cards in a deck where you've spent a sizeable chunk of influence for successful run-tag punishment. I get not having the splash for Data Raven or Bernice Mai or Manhunt, since you're trying to keep Snare! in R&D with Museum of History, but that's still only two ways to tag. In your entire deck.

Even a Hunter over R&D is helpful. I'd drop one of your Museum of History and go for Bernice Mai or News Team.

The influence was unspent in previous iterations. I added drt as an answer for tag me shenanigans, before I had no tag punishment so siphon spam wrecked my day. Snare isn't intended as a kill or tag engine, just a way to remind runners that there's snares in R&D so recklessly running it could whack them in the face, and MoH keeps its placement hidden.

I think that adding DRT and Snare took my econ and ice down too much. After I added mhc I worried that runners might take advantage of it but the constant net damage already keeps them around 4 cards in hand. I dropped sundew and tsurugi and I haven't had a chance to try the econ yet, but I'm hoping the additional burst draw from the new operation helps fix some of the consistency issues I was experiencing and helps keep my econ smooth. It needs some testing to see if the ice is in the right place, before I had excess so I could throw it away but MoH fixes that issue, exposed cards get shuffled back into R&D.

My biggest fear is Employee Strike but I'm hoping the more expensive econ assets make that slightly less worthwhile and Medical Breakthrough frees me from current harrassment.

I'll be honest, Caprice would probably beat out CT for the decktype I made but I don't like the card, and using it to boost a Shinobi for a kill seems like a good fit.
