This deck aims to use biotic ice to eat the runners clicks and use Heinlein Grid to punish them for clicking through ice. False Lead is there to trigger Heinlein Grid even if the runner doesn't hit a Biotic ice. I picked Haas-Bioroid: Stronger Together because it seems like that entices the runner to click ice more. Making Viktor 1.0 into a 4 strength Code Gate is also pretty tasty.
I was worried about e3 Feedback Implants, so I threw Taurus in there and Inazuma to surprise faceplant the runner into a piece of ice. Ichi 1.0 is probably the ideal target for that in the current version?
Score out an Efficiency Committee and/or Mandatory Upgrades to increase the click econ discrepancy.

Ahh a kindred spirit! Thanks for the comments, really appreciate the input! I'll definitely check out your decks. I see what you're saying about Zed 1.0, I didn't really think about how easy he would be to break. Just imagining ideal runs where the runner couldn't click through his subs haha. I''ll probably swap him with some of those 2.0's you mentioned. I'm liking the look of Ichi 2.0 right now. The same goes for Mandatory Upgrades. I'm finding that I'm not super happy to see it, but ABT is always welcome. That's a very good point about Atman, I'll try and mix up the strength values so I don't cry when it pops out haha. I'm not sure how I feel about Shipment from SanSan yet. Paired with Efficiency Committee it kind of just feels like a poor mans Biotic Labor. I was considering pairing the Biotic with it to be able to advance 5 times in a turn, but that requires a lot to go right, so I'm not sure how feasible, or even valuable, it is. Definitely demands some playtesting. I threw in Project Junebug because I wanted at least one curveball. Seems like a good use of an inf, mostly because I'm not sure what else I would toss in for that slot right now, and it comes as a nice surprise in tight games. (Not that I've played many, I don't have much experience playing Netrunner yet) I really, really like the idea of an Ash 2X3ZB9CY and/or Caprice Nisei. Definitely going to try to squeeze one or both in in some fashion! |
I am a massive fan of decks like these; check my profile for my efforts on the matter.
As for yours; much as I love the idea of Zed 1.0, he is super-bad. The issue is his low, low STR. Even with the boost, he's still beaten by Mimic, Femme Fatale, Creeper... all without any boosting needed.
Three Mandatory Upgrades is too many. It will take you at least two turns to score them, and the problem with the bioroid ICE is that it can be clicked through. One, perhaps two, is fine. Swap them out for ABT.
Also, versatility can be a massive help. As things stand, you have over half of your ICE at STR 5; that's just asking for an Atman, which is still annoyingly common where I am.
Efficiency Committee and Shipment from SanSan is an interesting way to take the deck; how is it working out for you? And is Project Junebug pulling its weight? Seems like a really sneaky thing to put in!
I'm not a fan of the False Lead/Heinlein Grid combo. I realise the power, but it has to be telegraphed to a certain extent by scoring the False Lead, and I do not think that forfeiting an agenda is worth it to probably stop a run and cost the runner credits.
Consider putting one or two of the 2.0s in there too, like Viktor 2.0, Ichi 2.0 and Heimdall 2.0. More expensive, but very, very strong.
Also, with click wasting, there is nothing more frustrating for a runner than to spend a whole turn running a server only to fail at the last moment. Ash 2X3ZB9CY is perfect for this, and if you can afford the influence, so is Caprice Nisei. They both synergise well with your Heinlein Grid combos.
Hope that helps!
