Replanters: 3-1 @ New Years Showdown

cablooshe 181

I built this deck off of the very well made 4 Credit A Teia list. As my "fun card" of the list, I wanted to test out how Replanting would work in an ID that can give the card a third install. End of the day, not too bad!

Check out the list above for a more comprehensive review of the game plan. I made a few specific changes that were a mixed bag.

  • Replanting is fun for sure, I used it in two main ways - pulling a Regolith off the table at 3 credits and reinstalling it/putting something new in the protected remote (while also being able to get extra ICE on that particular remote too), or replaying an Anemone for some more bonus net damage. You can also use it to get an obvious Snare! off the board and back to HQ.
  • Speaking of: There are 3x Snares but there are also no Snares. Having one is fun, but definitely not worth it overall compared to just having more money. I almost got a kill in one of my games with it, but had rezzed a Sadaka instead to kill off a massively charged Twinning, bringing me to only 2 creds.
  • Conundrum is my current auto-include in any corp deck that has the money for it. It's amazing into the current AI powerhouses like Audrey and Aumakua, and it's also a fairly strong code gate on its own. Against mulch decks Buzzsaw becomes effectively useless, and having 3 subs is nice even if it only takes one credit to boost Unity.
  • Sadaka is The Twinning killer. It's got a similar role that it's got in The Worlds Grind, but for no influence!

Attini is the MVP of this deck 100%, and IMO I feel like it's currently even better then Anansi. Most runners nowadays know how not to die to net damage from ICE, particularly into Jinteki. Attini is a cheaper way to bleed runners dry of cards or credits, credits honestly preferred in the early game sometimes to make it hard to build a board (if any runner pays the 6 due to a facecheck, I'm usually pretty happy about it. It's 6 clicks of basic actions lost compared to 3). Decoders are currently not great across anarch or crim, and even then it's at least 4 credits to break with Unity.

I didn't end up playing into any K2CP Turbine decks this tournament, but this deck loses hard to them. Putting Buzzsaw at 5 destroys a lot of threat and drain this list creates for runners. Somewhat seriously I've been debating getting one or even two Rover Algorithms to cover my bases. Haven't tested it yet but it's on the list.

Matches

Game 1 win vs Zahya

  • Went very well. Surprise Snare! kill early.

Game 2 win vs Loup

  • Not an Audrey list, so only Buzzsaw to deal with Attini and Conundrum at 4 str.
  • I was able to grind quite a bit of net damage out of the runner, which left them almost decked out (though close to a score, it was 4 to 5 points at the end).
  • Facechecked into an Attini for the kill, didn't have the money for the Buzzsaw break.

Game 3 win vs Hoshiko

  • An interesting deck with Mantle to fast-charge a Twinning.
  • Utae ain't great early when I've got Thimblerig as my outer ICE and move it to the next position after the break.
  • Very close game, a Hermes trigger pulled my winning agenda out of the server, then Divide and Conquer almost got a different agenda out of hand for the win. THEN we psi gamed with Adrian Seis for the fuji on the board and I won that. Insanely close.

Game 4 loss vs Sable

  • Had no money, mulliganed into no ICE. Spin Doctored for no ICE. Got the DOOF treatment.
  • I ended up trying panic plays which were very well answered, leading to a loss in 5 turns.

Big thanks to @maninthemoon for hosting the tournament, and to everyone else helping or playing! Had an absolute blast, and I'm excited for this new year of netrunner!

Sacrilegious, delicious. I approve of any deck using Tranq Grid to the max!
