Companionshipko - 6th @Swedish Nats 3-1

Bridgeman 2590

See this deck in action on todays stream.

Early on after coming back into the game I was trying to build a Maw Hoshiko.

The general shell feels pretty good, with both plenty of draw and breaking capabilities both early and mid to late game.

However I was having a bit of trouble in some matchups where the tempo hit of getting Maw on the table is too much, particularly decks that play HHN and econ warfare and PE stacking warroids with Keeling.

The solution? We keep our memory slots and get more drip by using Keiko! This means we can often play our console earlier and it is money positive rather than money negative.

We have decent earlygame with boomerangs and bravados, good draw with steelskin/moshing/hoshiko and DreamNet, and a scary lategame with lots of drip and the ability to recurr events with fenris, as well as the ability to get a stargate lock going. A nice little extra is that Boomerang lategame with paladin, Keiko is free and will be picked back up each turn by Hoshiko after being shuffled back.

Overall this deck is not designed to be super flashy, I am just looking for solid odds across all matchups. Perhaps the toughest are the fast decks where we sometimes have trouble if we cannot our breakers early enough, boomerang mitigates this somewhat. Against slow decks where we have time to establish a full rig we are usually at a big advantage given that Hippo makes it very hard to defend all servers properly.

Hunting Grounds might be slight overkill, but I was not about to lose to Loki Ag :D The card also hits Tollbooth, Turnpike and the occasional Funhouse or Zato.

In the event the deck did pretty well, going 3-1, dropping a game to reeducation Azmari where I made some mistakes and could not find my breakers early enough.

All in all seems like a pretty solid choice for the current meta, and can be adapted to be stronger against particular decks depending on your expectations.

Shoutout to Unband for the test games and discussion as always! And most of all big shoutout to hnautsch for organizing! Great to play in person again. :)
