is haley stealth any good

bblum 5030

currently 9-3 with this list in stimhack league.

this build feels pretty close to the local maximum, but it still feels short of tier 1 when you think about calimsha kate's power level. it's fun anyway though.

I have been playing a fairly similar deck and enjoying it but seem to have issues with perpetually low credit levels that can lead to stalling out or not having cash to trash must-trash assets. Do you general install most things off a stimhack+pw ? Finding that Kati carrying you through?

Looks fun, any reason to play it over Stealth Andy though? I do really like the PWs. Could run desperados instead of astrolabe if silencers + switchblade were changed for neutral/shaper equivalents

@sruman Pretty much yes to both. Seems like the deck can naturally run pretty poor, threatening remotes with stimhack and probing centrals once per turn for free, but there's not enough econ for a strong early game. SMCing for anything outside of a stimhack really sucks.

@firesa Haha nope, stealth andy is totally better. I guess you got lady over corroder, but personal workshop econ has nothing on sec testing.

I will say though that it's common, and surprisingly painless, to fire off a quality time when I'm only on 4 or 5 creds (even 3 if PW is already out).

Have you thought about switching the legwork for HQI? It would be a bit better longrun, since you have no way of recurring the legwork.

This looks amazingly similar to the Hayley Stealth build I put together the other night. Unfortunately I've been running into the same problem of low credit totals at inopportune times. The main problem with this deck is that it falls flat if you have to outright install everything because the Workshop isn't showing up, which is exactly the problem I've been experiencing. The deck just doesn't make the kind of money that it can afford to install expensive stuff like RDIs out-of-hand, especially not two at a time. Also, as noted, it's too poor in the early game. As bblum says, Security Testing is so much better than Workshop, especially considering the fact that you have to derp yourself to get the most out of it...

I thought that maybe Stealth was the right way to go, and that the recurring Stealth credits would balance out the money issues, but I'm just not sure Stealth is the right choice for Hayley. Outright paying for anything other than the Stealth chips and Cloak is just too much of a financial drain on this deck.

She needs lots of card draw and lots of money, I think.

@Alrik_40000: What about using Modded instead? 5 credit's with a Replicator installed would give you two RDIs. That doesn't seem too bad in my opinion

How about using Modded and/or Inside Man? While testing my own stealth Hayley deck I concluded that all the hardware were the biggest drain, even the 1 cost items. Although Inside Man is often overlooked, I find it a better solution in this specific case with lots of hardware and wanting to see it right away. I also added Opus as an econ engine.
