Deck valid after Fifth Rotation |
Below is the original write up I submitted, on the day the deck went 2 - 2, getting it's wins through flatline including doing 11 points of damage in 1 turn vs a tagme deck.
Inspired by Baa Ram Wu's deck.
This deck aims to use Malapert Data Vault to make scoring an Armed Intimidation a lose-lose situation for the runner. Since you can choose your own order of triggers, always let Armed go first, then as long as you have 2 clicks left, you can fetch a Neurospike if they take the damage, or a BOOM! (or second End of the Line) if they take tags.
Being in Ob gives you extra ways to get the Malapert through using Extract, Anvil, and Stavka to trash your own cards, it also means that a single Border Control is much more able to defend an early Intimidation score.
Digital Rights Management - Helps get your Intimidations more consistently and can also be used to find Above the Law if they have tech like Citadel Sanctuary.
Audacity, Seamless Launch, Oberth Protocol, and even Calibration Testing can all let you score a double advanced Intimidation in a single click. Calibration can also do it from a single advance since you can use your Ob trigger to get the Oberth.
This deck hides in the shadows of more common Ob archetypes and can quickly get to its kill combo in a variety of ways. It struggles against damage prevention but can play around them. It is also more resilient to combo disruption like Maw since it wants the kill cards to be in your deck rather than hand, and with Oberth can even get the double advance without a card from hand.
Will it do well? I guess we'll see...
