Pre-rotation decklist |
The goal of this deck is to be able to score agendas by attacking the weakest central server. Medium pressures R&D, Nerve Agent pressures HQ, and Data Leak Reverse pressures Archives. The deck as a whole is also designed to hurt the Corp's economy, in order to keep its resources protected and to make the early game lasts longer.
Key cards:
Reina Roja vs Whizzard is an eternal struggle; I'm constantly changing between both based on my expectation about the metagame I will meet;
Account Siphon + Vamp are the main economy control on this deck, they punish the Corp for not protecting HQ and they keep the resources safe;
Medium and Nerve Agent are pretty obvious, Medium is the strongest "R&D lock" in the game and it often wins the game by itself;
Data Leak Reverse forces the Corp to trash it a.s.a.p. and protect Archives at the same time, it is easily one of the most important cards in this deck;
Icebreakers:
Knight is the jack-of-all-trades;
Corroder is used to counter Paper Wall and Wraparound;
Mimic is used to "facecheck" safely;
Yog.0 is here just in case (it is almost useless, to be honest);
Emergency Shutdown is there as a contingency plan, in case the Corp manages to rez a piece of ICE that can't be broken easily (I know a lot of people don't like it, so you can use a 3rd Account Siphon if you wish);
Parasite, Datasucker and Deja Vu are used to trash any piece of ICE that cannot be broken, Parasite does a great job paired with Knight and Emergency Shutdown;
Economy:
Keep in mind that this deck doesn't require too much credits, as it controls the Corp economy too;
Sure Gamble doesn't require explanation, it is what it is;
Dirty Laundry is a influence-free Easy Mark that triggers John Masanori;
Armitage Codebusting is a countermeasure against Closed Accounts, and it is also the cheapest neutral economy card in the game - which is important in a deck with such poor economy;
Joshua B., in the worst case, works like a link-free Underworld Contact;
Spinal Modem provides MU when needed and also an economy boost;
Activist Support will almost never trigger, but scarying the Corp will often be more than enough to keep you ahead in the match;
Others:
Plascrete Carapace is there against Scorched Earth;
Clone Chip is used as a mid-run Parasite, but it can be an Scavenge if you like it better;
2x John Masanori + 1x Quality Time is more than enough to keep your hand full of cards, I honestly have no idea why using 3x Quality Time is so popular nowadays.

Definitely not - Nerve Agent has crazy good synnergy with both Siphon and Vamp, and you'll presumably be doing quite a bit of both. |

A surprise Nerve Agent hurts more than a surprise Hemorrhage. The idea behind Nerve Agent is to punish players that don't protect HQ, but stay low on credits in order to avoid Account Siphon. |
try hemorrhage over nerve agent, it takes a little longer to get going, but given that they have to draw once it does get going, it usually makes hq better target
