This deck is designed to be a good representation of my understanding of who Kabonesa Wu is. As such, I tried to err on the side of using "her cards" when possible, as long as I didn't think it would kill the win percent over the board.
Her console is Daredevil, so I included that. It isn't necessary on turn 1. It should be several turns before the corp is commonly double ICEing its servers. Playing two is meant to align when you draw it to when you need to play it. This should give you a lot of draw power after it gets played, enough to rival Aniccam. Keep in mind if the opponent has a pure ETR as the outermost ICE on a two deep server, you can use this console as a "click to draw 2".
Flame-out is also a card that I believe to be "hers", so it is also included here. I think it works very well for her, because you can use her ability to find a Self-modifying Code and use Flame Out money to pay the 2. If you have the Flame Out in the opener, you can potentially do the same two payment for all three SMCs. That would be a great early advantage.
Her breakers are pretty top of the line in Engolo, Paperclip, and Na'Not'K.
I included Misdirection as a way to combat cards like HHN. It also works very well with the Flame Out. If you search it out of your deck after the HHN is already played, Flame out can pay part or all of the credits required for Misdirection's effect.
The "you forgot to defend your centrals" part of the deck is in Nyashia, Diversion of Funds, and Legwork.
You want more MUs in this deck, so that's why I put in Cyberdelia. Both to host your massive program suite and to double as econ.
Additional drip comes in Rezeki, Daily Casts, Symmetrical Visage, and The Artist.
The rest is burst econ from Stimhack, Sure Gamble, and arguably Diesel and Modded.

RE Hyperdrivers not working, that sucks. I guess I was stuck in hopes and dreams land. I conveniently forgot stuff doesn't make it past the end of the turn, just for that one card, apparently. Good catch. I will edit it out and replace with some other stuff. -3 Hyperdriver, +1 Daily Casts, +1 Rezeki, +1 Simulchip I would very much like to add some of those other cards, but all the corps I have played against lately have seemed to be big money corps and they would just pay the 5 without much care if I was using Mining Accident. Career Fair is also a top 10 card in the game in my opinion, but I just can't give up anything for it atm. Same for Multithreader. |
Love seeing a good Kab deck! An observation: Hyperdriver does not work well with Kabonesa Wu: Netspace Thrillseeker. Kab can pull HD on her first click, but it is too late for beginning of turn triggers. At the end of turn, the hyperdriver goes away given Kab's RFG. So there is no overlap between HD's condition, and Kab's. So the best you can do is Self-modifying Code for HD, and use it the following turn. However, that's using 2 for SMC + 1 for HD for 3 HD s. Not great. Flame-out might make that better, but generally it is hard to make it worthwhile.
Some notes about anti-synnergies. Sometimes these are perfectly OK, and that might be the case here. I just want to provide some food for thought.
