Tag Me Freedom MWL 2.2

MasN2 51

So this is a clone of the Tag Me Freedom deck, for MWL 2.2

Some similar things apply like last time, so let's go over the diffierences.

First I did -1 WNP -1 Papa +1 Hacktivist +1 DDoS. You can see me going over the options last time.

Then the MWL hit, so this deck loses Mars for Martians Since it's so good with CS, we probably won't have the type of money to fire off two CS, so I cut one of those. Then I put 3 gamble 1 Day Job in the slots, even though events suck, because we're out of good resource econ and we need money to hard cast CS. On the plus side, these cards actually do something early when we're trying to set up where mars didn't. So this deck plays like the last, with one key difference: don't install the second god of war, because there's not much advantage in taking more tags with mars out and sure it makes CS bigger but also harder to fire, and hitting 12 cards instead of 9 probably wont decide the game unless the corp has enough points to score out, while paying 12c or 9c might make the difference of whether you can actually fire it off.

But wait. MWL 2.2 doesn't hit all decks. We should evaluate the tech cards again. Firstly, recall that double LARLA is a tech call against grindy PU decks, and many games get won without even a single one of them. I anticipate that grindy decks will lose popularity, so you should feel safe cutting the second LARLA. If the first gets stranded on a Street Peddler or gets knocked out and RFG'd or knocked out and SoT binned, well that sucks. But you have to evaluate how many games you lose to losing the LARLA and needing the LARLA or needing double LARLA to how many games you'd gain from the inf and deckslot.

Next card to note is Hacktivist Meeting. There's this one particular current that maybe we can expect to see a bit more with MWL hitting all the 'unfair' decks. If this prediction is correct, maybe go up to 2, or even 3 hacktivist to fight it. Or maybe even drop Levy entirely and slot triple Employee Strike, though that also has it's costs.

Day Job is Day Job. It's a fairly mediocre economy card, so decide if that's what you want.

One thing you might want to consider is Making an Entrance. You're paying a card and a click just for selection, but it can help this deck set up. Maybe more so because it's a "combo" deck so finding God of War and stuff could be huge, and you can also bin useless cards like Paparazzi in a matchup that doesn't want it, maybe less so because you aren't hitting conspiracy breakers aside from the lone Black Orchestra

DDoS is DDoS. Like making an entrance, it's a "do nothing" card, yet if this means you get an early agenda because the corp is rushing hard, that can be huge. I like having 1 so opponent who know your deck have to respect it, you don't risk duplicates, and they kinda lose value late game, because there's not much difference between breaking 2 or 3 ice with Dean Lister. Depending on your meta, you can still go up or down on it.

Paparazzi is still there for kill. You can go up to 3 if you're facing more. I don't recommend going down to 1 because if you're facing that little kill, you might as well just play tagme liza or something instead of bothering with the whole dummy box gig.

Hades Shard, like last time, is still questionable value. It draws a lot of cards if you can jump through hoops.

Same Old Thing recurs less levy, but now can actually recur economy with Sure Gamble.

Okay, now that I mentioned possible cuts, let's go over what you can put in.

You can put in another CS if you really want more accesses, but you probably want to economy to back it up. Also lets you get it more consistently and use as an early game legwork (and maybe draw 4) if the corp is stupid enough to leave HQ open (doubly so with an installed Obelus)

Against rush, you might something that can break an early barrier, and anarch has a few choices in faction, Paperclip is obviously the classic. There's jankier choices I guess too.

Having a backup CS or a non-God of War way to break stuff is also good if you anticipate more CVS. (Because Aumakua went untouched and we might see more Clot, thanks in part to the unrestriction of CC)

If you face a lot of slow decks, then there's Data Folding, it's a slow card, don't feel obligated to include all 3, but it's there.

Finally, I should mention if you cut LARLA and/or hades, you might find yourself with a bit of extra influence. Really, this deck doesn't need much else, as we have the damage prevention, have the option of DDoS for early pressure, have multiaccess, have a breaker, all that. What every deck wants is more econ, so I suggest you spend any spare influence on that. There's three main choices really: Career Fair, Rogue Trading, and Build Script. Take your pick.

Okay, now that I mentioned all of this, why do I have no more changes in the deck? Because this is all theory crafting. I have no idea what the meta will actually be like, and our metas may differ. I'm doing this to give you to information you need to be flexible and tune your copy of this degenerate cancer deck to your own local meta. Experiment around. Maybe you'll even come up with an innovation I haven't thought of. I've written off some cards and didn't even think of others, but maybe you'll find success. Share your results.

For anyone on the corp side wondering how to beat this: - You should be favored if you go fast. Especially Titan FA. - That said, if you really HATE this deck, this obscure card plus a HPT will kill it - provided that neither one gets trashed. - Other than that, the removal of MfM makes this deck a lot more vulnerable to Market Forces and there's always the good old 5 point psycho-baele.
