My corp of choice for BCOM was a very normal PD. Not fearing Light the Fire! or any sort of Deep Dive jank, I copy pasted Rotom's worlds winning decklist. However, the evening before the tournament I played a warmup game and drew some sample hands and felt like I didn't have enough money, so I cut an ICE and a Tranquility Home Grid and I slotted in 2 NGOs
Round 1: Win vs Dana's Deep Dive Deck. Pretty fast game.
Round 2: Loss vs Alice Merchant. Started the game with 10 minutes left on the clock and 0-4 from the top of RnD, I managed a miracle score of GFI + Sandbox, and then when time was called I forgot a very important corp lesson: Agendas are safer in the hand than on the board. Lost 5-6.
Round 3: Lost against Chris M's Big Maxx. Early Aumakua + Deuces Wild steamrolled me, and I should have baited the server with NGO and Rashida instead of jamming. Game's hard.
Round 4: Win vs Mildesorte's Maw Hoshiko. Pretty tense game all around but I managed to tax her out by stacking Gatekeepers and baiting runs on the server.
Round 5: Win vs Maxx. I really don't remember this game. I do remember the runner side was a bit frustrating.
For round 6 I got a pretty important call and had to make a choice between answering it and playing a game I thought wouldn't get me to top 8. I dropped.
Thanks to Mar, Percomis, Vesper and everyone else for making a great first tournament! Next year I'll take a higher spot!
