Just Play Good Decks - 3-2, 2nd at EA Regionals

This meta is all over the place.

The stats for Cambridge were wild: 44 players and no single ID cracking double figures (only two were played by more than five people). Every faction getting solid representation. Every faction making the cut!

It's not entirely unpredictable though. Obviously World Tree got hit by the banhammer very recently but apart from clipping that one deck it doesn't really seem to have shaken up things all that much. There might be some spicy stuff appearing at Worlds but for now it feels very much like we're in a settled meta, and have been for some time. The good decks are well known by now and iterated on pretty publicly. If you like brewing stuff then by all means keep doing so, those decks are cool! But you can also just pick something ready-made off the very full shelves.

It was always going to be between AgInfusion and Asa for me. Those are the two corps I've really put any reps into recently, and I didn't fancy trying to figure out something new with the limited amount of playing time I had before the tournament. As someone who never used to like glacier, it's been a strange journey to find myself becoming an Ag evangelist over the last year, but it's a strong deck with a lot of good cards that pushes the game forwards, and I think it's actually fun to play (no, really). It also helps that it just keeps putting up numbers for me.

Anyway, this is a very roundabout way of me saying that you don't need to be able to play the fifteen or so different decks that are Confirmed Good right now. Find one that appeals to you and work it to death. I believe in you.

I didn't realise I had 19 ice until I re-read this list to create the write-up though. Cut the Rime for a third Bio-Vault.
