πŸ›‘ See full decklist writeup here! πŸ›‘ Some lineup changes to my Worlds'22 deck:

  • -1x Fairchild 2.0, +1x Magnet
    • Benched Fairchild 2.0 because of the renewed popularity of Amina in many lineups (breaking for only 2), and Esa's dominance (giving the Runner Core Damage on a stick)
    • Put in Magnet because Botulus hate is always welcome. There wasn't really any other ICE I wanted, and I just wanted another 'end-the-run' that did something helpful in non-Crim matchups. Vs Crim, it's just an early gear check
    • I tried other versions with fewer Fairchild 3.0s as well for the Crim/419 matchup, but it was largely worse against the field since it has great stopping power AND says 'end the run'
  • -2x NAC, +1x Flop, +1x Manegarm
    • With Boat gone, NAC has less consistent value. It still has utility, but...
    • Flop helps you run faster by providing flexible opportunity to draw 4 or gain 3 (similar to Predictive Planogram)
    • 2nd Manegarm to defend vs one-time tricks like Boomerang and Bankhar, or simply to shore up whichever server needs some extra defensive pads

πŸ† Performance (2-1-1):

  • R1 - T vs Chris | CryptoGraham's Esa
    • Tied on 6pts. Had Biotic in hand from turn 1, but eventually lost it to Sabotage while I was poor which kept me from likely closing the game prior to time being called
  • R2 - W vs Marc | Runaway's tag-me Zahya
    • Rigshot Amina which kept Marc out of HQ & remote for long enough
  • R3 - W vs Roman | Ripred's Esa
    • Got my big ICE setup and scored out quickly
  • R4 - L vs Viktor | BinkBonkle's Esa
    • Putrid match where by the end of turn 2, I had already found 15 of my agenda points, and Viktor had found 6 of them. Struggling to find ICE to push them forward, I managed to score a Vitruvius with a counter and thought 'now I can freely Sabotage from R&D (for now) with only 3 agendas remaining in my still-large deck'... 1 or 2 turns later, I got Chastushka-ed, and found 2 more of them πŸͺ¦. Well played Viktor, but can our extreme bad-Corp-luck rivalry end now πŸ™‚?

❀️ Shoutout to everyone who showed up (and the Vancouver crew for coming down again), to everyone who came just to hang out, and especially to those who helped put this tournament together and run it! And a HUGE shoutout to my caddie, Ember, who champed it out for the first 2 rounds allowing me to play 🚼πŸ”₯πŸ‰.

-------- And finally, to @Whiteblade111, "3 times or it's luck!" πŸ˜‰ --------

This is the first Sportsmetal deck I'm playing and voilΓ‘: 5-0 on jnet as a fairly bad player. So good.

Recently I have swapped two Ansels with 2 Macrophages. The 4 subroutines feel like good tech vs Bankhar and Fermenters etc.

Hmmm, interesting! Maybe instead replace the magnet? Magnet is primarily there as an anti-Trojan/virus. Macrophage is similar, same cost, and effectively more thorough at that effectively (also hitting Fermenter, etc with several additional splash damage)
