Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
Took this deck to 1st alongside a (much better) Prav list; it was 2-2 on the day, struggling to find multi-access against a PD that turtled up its centrals, and completely falling apart to Drago RP.
The bones are sound, and the Flux engine works great: you have a ton of charge targets, from boat to testing to vial to twinsies to the hotel, and more.
Boat is primarily for the late-game; early on we rely on slappers (with poison support), or Egret + whatever real breaker we found first.
Career Fair and Rigging Up are incredible if you see them early; but even at 6x, they make the deck too draw-order dependent, and awkward hands happen way too often. (It's tragically common to hard-install Earthrise, only for it to draw you a now-useless CF.)
Despite including my own Standard-banned include, I somehow forgot Drago existed? 🤪 Our economy and engine are so dependent on resources, a patient RP can rip up our entire board before we can get a foothold.
I think the obvious way to fix the deck is -3 Career Fair, +3 No Free Lunch. The loss of 1 efficiency is worth never having a dead draw, and the ability to survive Drago for a turn or two.
As much as it feels great to install Proco for 0 (using Urban bucks), it's probably a bit too cute. It's vulnerable to Drago, and honestly not that great of tempo even when it's free. I'll probably convert this to Dr. Nuka or Stoneship, and the Riggings Up to Gambles.
Similar for Hyperbaric: sometimes you'll get charge value, but it's nearly always at the expense of some other charge target. Unity would be perfectly fine in the slot, and I'd like to try Umbrella, since there's a good chance we're throwing down an Egret or Flux from hand anyway.

If you're dropping the career fair you probably also want to drop the earth rise. 2 uav should be plenty. Then 3x nuka. Is the conduit really needed when you're already in twinning? Also maybe split the twinning into wake and twinning so you can stack multi access. With the free slot you can run a single deep dive to finish things off.
I've found 2 nfl, 1 networking to be good. Also if you're afraid of kill you can slot stoneship chartrooms. Might make this deck overteched. But startup is very stacked.
