Auction Titan: Atlas is a Crutch

This is the corp deck that resulted from the NYC Auction Draft III, where we tried a new setup for drafting with an eternal cardpool. You can watch the auctioning madness unfold here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Mc-Sb-5S0A

At the end of the day, the cards I ended up with from the auction were: Tour Guide, Marcus Batty, Caprice Nisei, Titan, Scarcity of Resources, Bio-Ethics Association, Border Control, Breached Dome, Ronin, Urban Renewal, Reconstruction Contract, Tithonium, Macrophage, Aiki, and Daily Business Show

My strategy going into the draft started off simple: go Rigshooter. Most of the important cards don't get drafted, recursion on runner side is hard to get, and you should be able to lockout the runner fairly easily. The plan started off well, until I won Bio-Ethics Association, Breached Dome, and Ronin. None of those were cards I'd be able to use effectively. The Rigshooting plan completely fell apart once someone else snagged Ark Lockdown at the end of draft. Then I thought I'd make the transition to asset Jinteki, but that was where Eric was going and many of the pieces were suggested then bought up by Eric.

I was stuck with Titan and had to make it work. I did not have access to Project Atlas, Hostile Takeover, or Dedication Ceremony to make the typical Atlas Train, and I had spent a ton of my auction money on cards that would be very difficult to fit in my deck. I tried asset titan to get use from my tour guide but that proved to be a terrible idea, and so I pivoted to Armored Servers / Timely Public Release titan, to make full use of my Border Controls and when it worked, it worked well!

As far as games go, I went 7-7 in the event. Andy took home a record of 3-4, while Titan went 4-3.

THE REPORT:

I beat Jason's Kate in a combination of Armored Servers and them not knowing what Cayambe Grid does, going in for a long slog of a game.

I beat Chase's Val with a grueling Cayambe Grid and Caprice Nisei both on R&D, stuffing a lot of their Keyhole runs, and building a sick 16 sub Masvingo in the process.

I beat Chris' Hayley by dragging them through my remote with a combination of Armored Servers and Timely Public Release to stuff their runs.

I lost to Jeff's Whizzard after a bad mulligan handed me one of each agenda, then I proceeded to draw 4 more.

I lost to Eric's Liza in a huge Counter Surveillance dig, even though I was able to stop 3 of them with Border Control installing and recurring. They played the game amazingly, with only 2 CS in the deck, but installing it 4 times.

I lost to Patrick's Noise: Hacker Extraordinaire on turn 2, after mulliganing into 3 agendas and icing a remote as a bluff. It didn't work and all were stolen.

I beat Jonas' Leela in much the same way that I won the other games, creating remotes that were hard to get through and utilizing my agenda counters for value.

All in all it was a fantastic experience and fun all around. I am very excited to try again some point in the future.
