[Startup] No Tricks

This is my optimized BTL list of SirLoathing's Old Fashioned Corpo. Please check that one first if you want to get an overall idea of how this is meant to be played. If you don't care: It's just glacier. Don't be afraid to lose agendas. It's also quite easy (I mean beginner friendly).

Agendas:

There are 10. In a 44 card deck. That's a lot. In addition there are no 3-pointers so you have to score 4. On the upside the runner has to steal 4 as well. Hostile Takeover is perfect for these purposes because that gives you a lot of tempo and makes it only necessary to score """3""" other agendas throughout the game. x2 is the perfect number because you never want to score more than one, there are no Archers in this list. Everything else is just money or value, the single Project Atlas seems like the odd one out but 3/2 are always strong even without text. Tried Cyberdex Sandbox in this instead of the Oaktown Renovation but I'd rather have the immediate money than purging, especially since I think that the only purge-worthy cards in the meta are Imps. There are also no Seamless Launches in here, so there is nothing lost announcing that you're about to score a Oaktown Renovation.

Assets:

Got rid of the Clearinghouse since if your scoring server is strong enough to feed this for 3 whole runner turns without being contested...you can also just score agendas. I'd rather thin out the deck than let 10 agendas be ready to get stolen from centrals while I'm feeding the CH.

ICE:

Hortum just does not cut it imo. A lot of its strength is wasted on the "no AI" shenanigans leaving a sub-potential ICE which imo is not meant for (current) Startup. Yeah it's a code gate ETR but so are Magnet and Enigma which are both cheaper and in the same price range to be broken by breakers (does anyone use breakers really that often to make that a difference at all? ;) ). BuT it'S adVanCaBLe!!! Yeah... Like every other ICE.

Afshar is nice and all but it completely loses to Winchester. Both are pricey for the runner but Winchester at least really effing hurts. It's also way better when not installed on HQ compared to Afshar. Additionally Bukhgalter kinda forces you to either play a lot of Sentries (Jinteki) or as few as possible (NBN) and since we really want to use the Colossi, we want more sentries.

Colossus and Ice Wall are your Cayambe Grid dumps. Ideally have two of them on your scoring server since one of them will forever get boomeranged. Magnet gives you scoring windows against anarchs and some codegate ETR. Not sure about the numbers on Pharos and Akhet, you might want to reverse them.

The Malapert Data Vault to me is still under investigation. The numbers on it look great and you need to score 4 times, so you should be able to get some value out of it. But if you draw it late it's dead...I'm really not certain about the value of this card. At least it could act as a bait. If you want to go even more "No tricks" just exchange it with another Government Subsidy.

Influence:

That's the big one. To me Manegarm Skunkworks is more of a "Win more" card whereas Anoetic Void is the actual win con. You should definitely try to make your own splashes but this is what I've come up with. Digital Rights Management just doesn't make any sense to me when 8/10 agendas give you money. Do you really care which one of them it is? Leaving HQ weak (which you should) renders DRM even worse. Predictive Planogram is always my go-to when I have little influence left. Getting to 3 creds from 0 or drawing three cards to see an agenda when you need it is super useful. You also have some tagging ICE which makes it a way better tag punishment than a single Retribution imo. Only two Anoetic Voids are fine in a 44 card deck... i guess. A third might therefore be overkill but protect them at all cost, get them back with your spinnies asap etc .

Yes it's boring. Yes it's even called no tricks. But it's the strongest BTL glacier I can think of and I guess the deck philosophy also applies well to Weyland's "No BS" demeanor and a lot of that also went into my style of writing this ^^
