This is a glacier style deck.
Economy is critical. Use every chance to build deep ice servers . Rez ice whenever you can. The archives is not a problem because of Architect and Hades Fragment . -think about adding Will-o'-the-Wisp to remove icebreakers. I pushed this build to maximize the influence spent.
12/8/2014 Removed Rainbow and add Mother Goddess to replace it.

Im not trying to be discouraging here, but money may continue to be an issue until you cut back on a few cards and reconsider some others. 54 cards and lots of 5/3 agendas, plus janus and heimdall, and out of that you have only 5 solid economy cards in hedge fund and adonis. Lower the cost of ice and agendas, drop some of the upgrades and sdd in some drip economy with high trash cost (pad campaign for instance) and I think you'll find speed and money will improve. |

Thanks for the comment. I am not good at making efficient decks on my own. your advice is what I was looking for to help me. I will add the PAD Campaign and drop the Janus 1.0 for this weekend. This deck is fun but in all my test it is too pricey and too slow to work well in a tournament. |

Happy to help :) the NEXT Id is great and you have the right idea about how to play it - glacier. The next step is to make that tactic effective throughout the game. Try thinking about the different phases of the game, and its easiest iv found to imagine these phases by thinking when the runner has their rig in order. What can they do with it thia turn? What can I do to keep them out? These are important questions when deck building. For instance, heimdall and janus are big, heavy pieces of ICE with high strength and cost - when would these be effective to play? Early game when the runner has no breakers, or mid game when corroder is on the table? Another example, early in the game weaker ICE can be just as effective as stronger ICE, and in many cases more so. Take Quandary, a zero strength code gate. Well what if the runners decoder is halfway down in their deck? How many turns do you now have where they cant get into that server while you score out of it? Not many maybe, but enough. For glacier economy assests with a high trash cost like eve or pad campaign can really help later in the game, if you have a deep stack of ice you can even include click heavy economy like melange and really get set up to deploy janus later, and start scoring fast. Like I said you've got the right idea for the ID, streamline the cards and start taking advantage of the immediate speed boost the ID ability gives you and this will work. |

I took a modified version of this deck and it didn't win. I think I was 1 - 2 with this deck. I saw a Foundry deck with Grail and that was really cool. I think it was better than my Next ice deck. I wanted to give everyone an update on this deck since there was awesome input. I took out Caprice Nisei and added a Midway Station Grid to the deck. I also removed an Enhanced Login Protocol and added another Adonis Campaign. In retrospect I probably should have added a Melange Mining Corp.. Lastly I removed Janus 1.0 and substituted Rainbow. I appreciate the comments on this deck and I think they helped me make the deck more competitive. |
I keep tweaking the hell out of this trying to get ready for this weekend 12/20/2014. Since money is an issue I am thinking of moving away from Nisei and adding another Midway Station Grid. The idea being that if money is a problem why would I want to lose some in a side game. With the Grid I can punish the runner for running most of the time and lose little-to-nothing myself.
