May I ask why the triple Networking?

Perfect theme with Hoshiko!
I dig the consistency (everything in 3x), I'm not an apoc deck expert but:

• 3x Networking: aren't 3x a lot?
• No Boomerang / Botulus / Inside Job to "cheat" your way into the central servers?
• No Liberated Account? Seems like the perfect econ engine (alongside Daily Casts) for an Apoc deck
• Isnt' Because I Can doing a similar job than Apocalypse? Is it for MCA Austerity Policy?

@mr_pelle : In my tests, I found the deck weak to tags. Networking allows me to clear them easily (even against SYNC: Everything, Everywhere) and it synergize with Mystic Maemi, since I can take the credit on it to pay for Networking.

@Drager : Because I Can is there to buy some time, when I do not have Apocalypse in hand. It allows me to deny econ or agendas located behind rezzed ices in a remote.

Liberated Account is an amazing card. But for the purpose of tempo, I went with events that can give me credits. Fermenter gave me great results, ticking away while I setup or draw cards, and the it gives me a nice pile of credits to make the Apocalypse runs.

Boomerang would be nice, but I needed the influence for Networking and Because I Can. If we take out one Apocalypse and one Networking, we could have 2 Boomerang. This would need to be tested. It is a neat idea. I like having the 3 Apocalypse because I can use it earlier that way. But having 2 Apocalypse should be enough.

Botulus could also be used, possibly replacing Hippo. The only drawback would be that once it is on the board, it prevent the installation of Fermenter, since we do not use any console.

A good console for this deck would be Vigil and could replace I've Had Worse. It would let us use Botulus and gives us free draw.

Run Amok could be also used to synergize with Mystic Maemi, instead of Botulus. But I find Hippo easier to handle since it can stay on the board, instead of filling our hand.

Mayfly would be good sometime, but it takes 2 MU, which would be problematic, unless we use a console.

Note that the deck archetype could use more hardwares, programs and ressources. Using Daily Casts, Liberated Account and other good cards. In this case, I would suggest to use Paladin Poemu instead of Mystic Maemi. It would need to be tested, but I think it could work out fine.

Networking buyback cost cannot be payed via Prepaid VoicePAD or Mystic Maemi, unfortunately.

@mr_pelle: Jnet was letting me do it and it made sense to me. Since it is a cost for an event, it seems legit. I could not find a ruling for it, but what you says also feels correct. If you could point me the rule that I missed, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

@mr_pelle I checked with the rule team. You are correct, here is the explanation : the play cost of card is in top left corner. The text of the card is on a play cost, but text of the card is not, in the current rules, a "play cost". Unless a ruling or an errata is made, Mystic Maemi cannot pay for Networking. I'll change the text of the write-up to avoid confusion.
