Description

This is either identical or very close to the list I played the day before the main event, in the Icebreaker Tournament. I know my influence spread was identical for the Icebreaker, but not sure if I swapped anything else out. I went up to 54 to add Museum shortly before flying up (much to the chagrin of one friend who helped me refine my ideas for the deck), but didn't bring too many extra cards along with me, so didn't have full access to my collection for tweaks.

I went 4-1 in the Icebreaker

For the main event, I went 2-4 in Swiss

  • Loss v MaxX: Maximum Punk Rock
  • Win v Rielle "Kit" Peddler: Transhuman (flatline)
    • My last kill of the week was, like almost all of my others, because of a reckless Runner. Everyone I faced afterwards was more cautious.
  • Loss v ???
  • Win v Kate "Mac" McCaffrey: Digital Tinker (score)
    • This was the first time my econ showed up, and I got up around 30 credits, but clicking mopus and trashing an asset each turn kept the Runner out of danger of getting tagged and me from getting too far ahead. I finally managed to score out both foods and an Atlas with two counters behind a gearcheck. I pulled another Atlas with a counter, installed it behind the Tour Guide, added another piece of ICE and a Sandburg elsewhere for safety, and scored out for the only time all week.
  • Loss v ???
  • Loss v ???

During some of the rounds, staff would walk around and place old prize support items at each table, for the winner of the next game to take. My only real vivid memory of the day was the worst game of all: when the prize up for grabs was the Edward Kim: Humanity's Hammer/Gagarin Deep Space: Expanding the Horizon acrylic flip ID and I tried so hard to win that game and just couldn't pull it off.
