This deck went 4-1 at the Düsseldorf SC (16p) with wins against Lunatic CI, Brain rewiring combo CI, Palana Loopteki and CTM and one loss against Reversed CI. Sovereign Sight was not legal yet.
This deck is mainly teched against CTM, Gagarin and Moons CI with tech cards like Sec Testing, Bank Job and Paricia (and Mercur kinda gives you a bad pub). FF keeps net dmg decks in check and Estrike is amazing against most corps and it really put some pressure against CI. The deck usually has a good early game tempo and can contest the corp early on. Shutting down their econ assets or their win condition.
Blackstone is worse than Paperclip, but it rarely matters in the meta. Paperclip pushed a lot of the barriers out of the meta expect some gearcheck ones. Blackstone is fine against those. You never break IP Block anyways and rare high strength barriers like Chiyashi and bastion are worth paying extra for if you get 3 extra inf. if only there was a cheap to install fracter that doesn't suck.
I wanted to cut Notoriety, but my friend Slowriffs convinced me otherwhise. It won me 1 game and closed out another game. so remember to always play a notoriety in shaper.
Hunting grounds was the MVP of the day, shutting down Data raven, Tollbooth, Brainstorm, Komainu and Data Loop.
Why 42-cards? To not get decked against netdamage decks ...... DUH!!!

Blackstone?! Just play Inti and hope people forget to advance their Ice Walls :P I know you're not a fan of the usual PioT/Saccon/Tapwrm econ package, but did you feel this list has enough econ to get setup? In my experience Smoke just needs to get her rig setup asap, and a single PioT basically pays for that. Interested to hear how this list stacks up in terms of setup speed. I'd think this list would really struggle vs Skorp, even with triple strikes. Congrats on the win, good to see you're actually breaking ICE nowadays! |

PioT is so akward to play, while it does speed up your deck, it also lets your opponent go faster. Helping your opponent to rush faster seems like a bad idea, if you're playing a late game deck. Also Tapwrm is kinda akward, when they just go fast and stay low money. It's a great engine late game, but early game I just like the versatility of Laundry+Casts+Deuces with some backup econ vs asset spam. Most games the tempo and setup are fine with this deck. Skorp or basically anything with Batty is not a great matchup for the deck. You have councilman and Dai V as your only options, but often with some smart play and cards like Noto and TTW you can try to play around it. Also Strike does nothing vs Skorp, since I have 0 recursion. Who would have thought that I would be breaking ICE one day? Maybe once I'll stop putting my credits on my ID :p
