I bring to you, a new era of Sandburg Asa..... with MAD BOOM! as its main strategy

Mutually Assured Destruction being unconditional tagging, with BOOM! to close the game is hard to play around without niche tech cards. Go fast with standard Assat spam, then close the game with the combo.

Things to know:

  1. Baseline combo is +2 clicks (Biotic / Bass), MAD (and 2 rezzed cards), and BOOM! This is 4 cards and 14-16 credits.
  2. With enough servers, Fully Operational with Biotic can be click neutral, which is handy for flashy digs / clickless credit
  3. Gaslight is generally staying on the field until the combo turn
  4. NEXT Sapphire is not good on R&D, Wave is good for tempo (its not protecting anything for you tho lmao)
  5. Sprint back the inevitable agenda flood.
  6. 1x Sandburg to throw them off, it's like the 1x Snare! theory, except I like touching sand

Tech / Things to look out:

  1. Citadel Sanctuary: 1 more click
  2. Handsize (Obelus, Hippocampic Mechanocytes): 2x BOOM!
  3. Heartbeat: 3x BOOM!???
  4. No One Home: uhh get rich enough I guess ?
  5. Apocalypse: defend centrals, lol
  6. Tsakhia "Bankhar" Gantulga: run him through subs / install Wave on the outer

IA or IAA Luminal is another great enabler for MAD BOOM, either killing an unsuspecting runner or forcing them into your remotes to stop the scoring out threat. I guess I'm cursed now for a suggestion on a Sandburg deck.

there is no scoring out threat hmm, they should be forced to run remotes already to find the Gaslight and Bass CH1R180G4, and Rashida Jaheem is always good to sneak

Luminal Transubstantiation as a fake biotic / bass is cool tho, but the way I play would be very obvious when I advance it

Update, 28-0 and counting. Thanks to @xiaat I think this suite would provide an alternative scoring plan like a worse FA sports.

We’ve discussed this deck a bit more with a friend. You could also try 3x Ikawah 3x SAM/Food 1x Luminal 3x MCAAP (just be careful to not lose the Luminal or the plan becomes a lot worse, probably have to score it on sight in bad matchups). Or 3x Ikawah 3x Food 2x Elivagar 3x MCAAP. Maybe cutting a Sandburg and a Gaslight. Notably, Lat stops both of the gameplans with Stoneship+Clot. You probably have to do something along the lines of BOOM! with Doctor and Gaslight on the table to Boom again next turn, possibly also packing a Best Defence.

It's a good idea to fit in mcaap but I don't think there is a good slot cut for it. Sandburg does tax quite a bit, and Gaslight is just pure consistency. Also I don't see mca surviving

at max combo, double boom in a turn is theoretically possible, though at that point u could say the runner massively misplayed

Having lost to it, I can testify that Malia Z0L0K4 is better than Sandburg for this deck. It resolves the problem of Citadel Sanctuary (or even of Jarogniew Mercs).
