That does it! I never should have raced you - you made me lose!
I'm never gonna slow that hedgehog down enough to catch him!
Scratch! Grounder! I need you two to help me out - if you bring me victory, I'll shine your treads.
How??
Just win the race, just win the race, just win, just win, just win the race!
I don't care what it takes, just find a way to win the race!!
The deck I played at Sheffield. It's very similar to the deck Ezbior cooked up that I was playing in Nottingham a week ago, but with a couple of tweaks suggested by aruzan, most notably adding a turtle and cutting the Career Fairs. It's really surprising how much this upped the consistency! Thank you to QtM for tolerating my constant Ken blabbing. ❤️
(I also deployed an innovative new strategy called Just Don't Pair Jinteki All Day, which I recommend my fellow Criminal lovers implement.)
My own change to the deck was swapping out a Katorga Breakout for a second Mystic Maemi and a Unity over Shibboleth - in the former case, seeing it early is a massive tempo boost, and in the latter case I was sick of paying a million credits for Gatekeeper and Valentão.
This does mean there's slightly less recursion than previously, but I was only really using Katorga once a game anyway (and usually just as a Swift click + Deep Dive #2), so it's not that big a loss. Just be careful about losing multiple breakers to damage or SDS Drone Deployment.
If you're feeling spicy, one Earthrise Hotel could probably become a Zenit Chip - as you're generally only installing 1-2 Hotels a game - but it's not a critical change.
Honestly, I'd recommend anyone give this deck a try. It prints money, has a great game into assets between Bahia Bands and Miss Bones, and an OK game into glacier with the Cezves - and don't forget the latter with the Bahias can give you a discount on your big resources! It's loads of fun to play.
Much like Ken himself, though, you're on a timer - when your deck runs out, the fun stops pretty much immediately, so you have to push for the win before your stack hits empty.
We're positively spoiled at the moment with so many Districts happening so close to one another, and I enjoyed this one just as much as the previous ones - I got to play some really tight Netrunner. Thank you very much to May and Lap for keeping things running smoothly, and as always it was really lovely to see the Birmingham crew! The Climactic Showdown with l0velace in the final was just icing on the cake.
It seems my friendly rivalry with lif3line has now been codified, since I unexpectedly got the Sheriff of Sheffingham award to their Robin Hood (even if we did play our top cut game thematically backwards). I'll be keeping an eye on you...

So based, incredibly well deserved win! I'm always equally excited and terrified when we get matched up because I know it's gonna be both a fun and super tough game. Now that the rivalry is official I'm hoping genre conventions help me out since the fact you've won the last few means I'm the plucky underdog:P |

I played the lesser Ken deck that came 24th. netrunnerdb.com Glad to see someone take Ken to the final and win. 😅 |
