Andromeda CEO (2nd Place Event Horizon Store Champs 2015)

Intro

I know Andromeda: Dispossessed Ristie decks are a dime a dozen, but this was my first tournament win with any deck, so I thought I'd post a write up here. Also, I'd like to note that I'm still on a single core set - so that dictated what might be otherwise unusual card choices (ahem, single Desperado).

This is pretty much a rip-off of Nordrunner's Andy CEO with some extra economy.

I wanted to give this a try, as it seemed to put Daily Casts and Compromised Employee to good use - two cards I was curious about. I was quite pleased with the performance of both.

Playstyle

I would take a mulligan for Desperado, early econ, or if I had too many high-cost pieces (eg, the interfaces).

After that it's a pretty standard game - try to get access either on HQ or R&D, get your money out of Security Testing and force them to ice up archives, keep running to earn money through Compromised Employee, and shut-down, or Parasite annoying ice to get even more money when they have to rez again.

Establishing the 2-3 card deep lock on R&D helps, because then you can spend the turns after that run building your rig and econ back up.

Some Callouts

Compromised Employee surprised me with how well it works. It's best to get a couple down, but even if you only have one down, it pays for itself in a couple of turns, and the credits mid-run allow you to run with a lower credit pool than you would otherwise be able to. The link helped break a couple of traces when I was running against Weyland.

Crash Space, is one of my favorites. I'm not always as aggressive with the Account Siphon's as I should be, and having the 's to shake tags with makes me much more aggressive with them. Also the meat-damage protection they provide definitely lets you stay around for a turn or two longer while Weyland builds up their triple-scorch combo.

The Same Old Thing's provide me recursion to Account Siphon or Legwork, as needed.

I also added a Kati Jones for long-term econ, although replacing her with the original second Mr. Li would work fine as well. Generally I'm happy to see either of them come up, but you're fine even without both, hence the 1x.
