The Sports Are Alright

Our beloved Sportsmetal saw a huge decline in popularity, since the emergence of Hermes. I personally like playing Sports because it is fast and I like playing against it, because you always 'have a game'. So I wanted to see, how bad is it really out there for Sports? It turns out, this is one of my most successful decks!

Since we have no more Tithonium, Archer applied for the job opening and is doing his best. There was a variation with -2 Corporate Troubleshooter and +2 Wage Workers - but the Wage Workers were often unnecessary. Corporate Troubleshooter helps an Archer to guide his arrows or the M.I.C to steal a whole turn. Against Sable Hermes you should put Archer on a central, against most others, he usually goes on your scoring remote. But if you can't find him, you can still squeeze out agendas behind other good ice. Lots of Upgrades help you milk the Tranquility Home Grid, even on your opponent's turn.

The true heroes are Red Level Clearance and Greasing the Palm, though. They give you that forward tempo, to stay ahead of the runner. So many times just these 1 or 2 extra credits do a lot of work.

In earlier variations I tried Nightdancer and Daily Quest which was okay, but finally M.I.C just worked better. Maybe I'll put just one back in, because a piece of ICE that can give you 2 clicks is just amazing, when it does...

TL;DR I find Sportsmetal is still very much playable :)

This looks like a really cool deck, thanks for sharing! Especially since the popularity of Hermes went down a bit now :)
