Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
Picture this, you've just left Sheffield Regionals after being knocked out of top cut by your partner and decided to get a quick (non-alcoholic) pint of beer before heading home. You sit down with the lovely folks from EA sports and start talking about how you can make Aginfusion slightly more irritating; when Front Company comes up. The conversation quickly moves on, but something sticks with you. A terrible idea that can quickly blossoms into a terrible decklist, made with some terrible concessions.
Turns out, Front Company is
Being forced to make a run into a central server first means you can push out into the remote much faster, as your opponent is forced to facecheck a central before they may contest the remote. If you've managed to rez a Big Sentry they get to play double duty, as you may rez them to protect a central server and bounce them back in the same turn. This can really slow down a runner's aggression in the early game. Once they have set up their breakers, The company still acts as an annoying little piece of click denial - you have to deal with it at some point if you want to contest the remote freely.
The third effect of Front Company also comes up as another layer of deterrent to the runner, as you cannot afford to risk losing the Deep Dive to the 2 net damage from running archives. Political cards are very funny. The thing is, if the runner doesn't care much about the net damage, you could always throw out an errant piece of extra ice to defend the Front Company and use Aginfusion to boop the runner into a real ice - you don't even have to pay to defend it! At worst, you opponent will have to spend 3 clicks and a bunch of credits for permission to run the scoring server :)
Front Company helps turn Winning Matchups into awful slogs, and turn difficult matchups into slightly more playable games. Triple M.I.C. was a decision made the day before Crown of Servers as a way of putting some extra teeth in the code gate slot, while helping deny clicks while I try to score out, or stop the runner's win con. The 2x Spin Doctor only matters if you aren't very good at drawing good cards and only draw bad cards. I did also have to swap out the third Rashida for a Regolith, as there are just enough big ice in the deck where you can become quite stressed for credits. Front Company does eat up all of the extra space in the deck, so there isn't enough space for other Tech Cards.
The deck has served me very well during Crown of Servers and during the main event, going 4-0 and 4-1 respectively, with my only loss that weekend going to Lifeline's kickass Quetzal deck on stream. I spend the entire weekend distributing sugary goodness in the form of Belmont Biscuit Milk Chocolate Seal Bars, which I hope kept some folks stable enough to keep playing - 10 rounds of Netrunner is a lot. I'd like to give my thanks to the lovely folks at Birmingham, Sheffield and Nottingham for being such a great community and putting up with my nonsense deckbuilding - there's only so much Aginfusion folks want to play against before it gets unpleasant :)
Many thanks as well to the lovely team behind running Nats too! Being able to wildly improvise the venue location twice and still pull off and event of that caliber is truly remarkable. I'd also like to thank @MattOhNo and @Cobalt for bring my teammates in Crown of Servers! They are both great players and I was sad to let them down by bringing a suit that was too small for CoS.

Beautiful and terrible in equal measure! I feel like I got very lucky in our game to dodge the numerous terrifying things going on here. The seal bars were greatly appreciated <3 |
Proudly the second most toxic Ag deck to come out of UK Nats!
