[Startup] Crazy Hand

Posted today because Midnight-3 Arcology is the Reddit Card of the Day! Crazy_Hand_SSBU.png

Draw a gigantic hand and use it to win the game.

The Scoring Plan

-Fast advance Superconducting Hub and Luminal Transubstantiation with Red Level Clearance + Bass CH1R180G4

-Fast advance Midnight-3 Arcology and Offworld Office with Red Level Clearance and Moon Pool if you have at least 2 other agendas in HQ/Archives

-Seamless Launch to score anything protected by ice and/or Anoetic Void

Aim for exactly 7 points, preferably 1 1-point agenda and 3 2-point agendas to score out in the fewest number of turns. Moon Pool will ideally shuffle back excess 1-point agendas while scoring 2 point agendas.

The Hand Size Plan

The Void - Final Destination: Having 8 cards in hand and 8 credits lets you protect an agenda with Anoetic Void even if the Runner spends 4 clicks running that server, so set that play up by scoring a Superconducting Hub to bring your hand size to 8 or a Midnight-3 Arcology with a click to spare to install an agenda in the Anoetic Void remote while still holding more than your max hand size of cards in HQ.

The Sprint - Big Blue: Having tons of cards in hand also makes it easier to setup Red Level Clearance, Moon Pool, and Bass CH1R180G4 combos to fast advance agendas. If you have multiple Red Level Clearance in hand, you can use some to draw 2 cards + gain 1 click in a pinch when looking for combo pieces, such as more agendas to reveal for Moon Pool.

Fully Operational - Wily Castle: Your best tool for drawing back up to 8+ cards. Try to have 2 remotes so you can draw 6 in a pinch.

The Ice

Harmonic Ice (Wave and Echo) are cheap and fun! Use them to help you rush. Rezzing a Wave can help you get an extra card in HQ to dump when triggering Anoetic Void.

Magnet makes Botulus sad.

Drafter is your best ice because it helps to recur Fully Operationals/Red Level Clearances/Seamless Launch and install Bass CH1R180G4/Moon Pool/Anoetic Void for scoring threats.

The Weaknesses

Pinhole Threading and Light the Fire! will mess with your Anoetic Void plans. Ice archives and use Drafter and your Haas-Bioroid: Precision Design ID ability to recur Voids for later use.

Deep Dive might close out the game before you score out, and has higher likelihood to find agendas if you're regularly shuffling them back into RnD with Moon Pool. Consider placing a Anoetic Void on a central server to delay the dive or force them to Pinhole it.

Interesting deck! Can you please explain how this works in detail? -Fast advance Superconducting Hub and Luminal Transubstantiation with Red Level Clearance + Bass CH1R180G4

-Fast advance Midnight-3 Arcology and Offworld Office with Red Level Clearance and Moon Pool if you have at least 2 other agendas in HQ/Archives

@us0rman"fast advance" is using tricks like cards that give you extra clicks or advancement counters to install, advance, and score an agenda from hand all in one turn.

If you have at least 7 credits, Red Level Clearance, Bass CH1R180G4, and either Luminal Transubstantiation or Superconducting Hub (agendas that need 3 advancements to score) in HQ at the start of your turn, you can score that agenda that turn by doing the following:

-Click 1: Install the agenda

-Click 2: Play Red Level Clearance to install Bass CH1R180G4 and gain a click (costs 1 credit).

-Before Click 3: Rez Bass CH1R180G4 (costs 3 credits).

-Click 3: Use the click ability on Bass CH1R180G4 to gain 2 clicks (costs 3 credits).

-Clicks 4-6: Advance the agenda 3 times and score (costs 3 credits).

If you have at least 6 credits, Red Level Clearance, Moon Pool, and either Offworld Office or Midnight-3 Arcology (agendas that need 4 advancements to score) in HQ at the start of your turn, as well as at least two other agendas in HQ and/or Archives, you can score the agenda that turn by doing the following:

-Click 1: Install the agenda

-Click 2: Play Red Level Clearance to install Moon Pool and gain a click (costs 1 credit).

-Before Click 3: Rez Moon Pool (costs 3 credits) and use its paid ability to remove it from the game, trash 0-2 other agendas from HQ (depending on if you already have agendas facedown in Archives), and then shuffle two facedown agendas from Archives back into RnD to place 2 advancement counters on the agenda you installed.

-Clicks 3-4: Advance the agenda 2 more times and score.

Clot

Runners might install Clot during your turn, after any of your individual clicks, using a card like Self-modifying Code or Simulchip to stop you from scoring an agenda the same turn you install it, so its best practice to install the agenda in a server protected by ice and wait to see if the Runner will install Clot before spending lots of resources rezzing Bass CH1R180G4 or Moon Pool just in case, which is why I suggested the above order of operations that rez those cards towards the end of your turn.

-For Bass CH1R180G4, the Runner might install Clot after you use its click ability, so try to find another good use for those clicks like installing more ice or Anoetic Void.

-For Moon Pool, because its method of placing advancements is a paid ability that does not cost a click, you can rez it, use its ability to place 2 more advancements on an agenda, and then score that agenda all in one paid ability window, so the Runner would have to install Clot before you rez Moon Pool to stop you from scoring.

-For Moon Pool, because its method of placing advancements is a paid ability that does not cost a click, you can rez it, use its ability to place 2 more advancements on an agenda, and then score that agenda all in one paid ability window immediately after Click 4, so the Runner would have to install Clot before Click 4 to stop you from scoring.

Some decks that rely on Fast advance strategies will also run Mavirus as a way to purge virus counters without spending a click just in case the Runner has Clot. You could consider replacing Spin Doctor with Mavirus if Clot is common in your meta.

Other Combinations

If you leave a Bass CH1R180G4 or Moon Pool on the table in a remote, you can use it on a later turn to fast advance an agenda without Red Level Clearance. If both Bass CH1R180G4 are on the table (or e.g. you have 1 on the table and 1 in hand alongside a Red Level Clearance) and you have the credits to spare, you could use both to fast advance Offworld Office or Midnight-3 Arcology.
