Direct Damage PE - 4th in Salford Circuit Opener 2022

Huan 38

This deck is made of the brutal cards with net damage which are unbreakable. The idea is to deal as much damage as possible so that the Blood in the Water could be scored. This deck could win in multiple ways, including scoring, flatlining the runner or milling. Hence, we don't have to stick to one certain object.

Bladderwort is a very efficient economy card in this deck, with 1c to rez and 1c income each turn. It could also deal crucial net damage when we want to score a Blood, which could be done by spending money on Hokusai Grid. It is definitely worth defending when it is rezzed.

Mganga beats Aiki as it deals direct damage to runner which is hard to break. The Aiki would sometimes betray us if the runner has a decoder or the Endurance to break the last 2 subroutines.

Data Loop is the most taxing ice in this deck, which reduces runner's grip by 2. It is good at protecting key targets like R&D and agendas, e.g., an Obokata Protocol protected by it would cost 7 cards to steal in total. Usually it cannot flatline the runner but House of Knives or Hokusai Grid would make it deadly. Don't forget to install extra ice to protect it from Hippo when playing against Anarch.

Konjin would be a 3-cost Data Loop or Anansi in this deck, which also helps modify the money we own to trigger Bladderwort.

Mitosis could target at NGO, Clearinghouse, Urtica Cipher, or agendas except Blood in the Water. It cost 2 clicks to check both of the romotes so that the runner has less clicks to draw cards if they want to steal an Obokata.

In the tournament, I won all the 4 games with Jinteki: Personal Evolution. Two of the games were won with more agenda points when time was up. One was won by flatlining the runner and the other with milling. However, I went 1-3 with my runner Steve Cambridge: Master Grifter and I came the 4th in the tournamnet. Thank Mark for the tournament.

Game 1 vs Kabonesa Wu: Netspace Thrillseeker

I won 3:2 when the time was up. Bladderwort was rezzed and protected in the first two turns, which gave me great advantages at the beginning. However, Stoneship Chart Room and Reaver made it hard to score Blood in the Water so I only scored 2 Sting! and a House of Knives in a remote protected by unrezzed Hokusai Grid and Anemone.

Game 2 vs Nyusha "Sable" Sintashta: Symphonic Prodigy

I scored a House of Knives early in the game and flatlined the runner with a Data Loop-House of Knives combo.

Game 3 vs Nyusha "Sable" Sintashta: Symphonic Prodigy

I won 4-2 when the time was up. I took great advantages of early Bladderwort again. By spending money to triger the net damage of Bladderwort , I successfully scored 2 Blood in the Water.

Game 4 vs Hoshiko Shiro: Untold Protagonist

I won by milling all of the runner's deck. It was a tough game. The runner got the DreamNet early and Pinholed my Bladderwort. However, I managed to defend R&D with Data Loop so that I didn't lose to a Stargate. I was lucky to play Mitosis to install both Obokata and Clearinghouse. The runner drew enough cards to steal Obokata, which hit Steelskin Scarring. However they chose to draw to 4 cards in grip rather than checking the other, followed by a 2 damage Clearinghouse and a 2/2 Blood in the Water. 8 bloody damage for a single turn! Hence, I won this game with such advantages.
