Play Caldera! - 1-1 @Montreal CO 2024-07-13

WARNING : PLAYING THIS DECK IN PERSON IS AMAZINGLY FUN!

Asset spam Jinteki, but not PE. This would die to Caldera or to Captain Padma with Cataloguer, but nobody plays that.

This got me to 3rd place (of 10 participants) at Montreal Circuit Opener 2024-07-13.

• Win vs Antoine on Lat: Ethical Freelancer.
• Loss vs Jon (the champion of the event) on Rielle “Kit” Peddler: Transhuman.

Game plan : Full shell game. Put assets on the board and threaten the runner. The deck aims to score out as much as flatline the runner.

Mulligan plan : Mitosis, Charlotte Caçador or NGO Front.

A year ago, I played a similar deck and it was a tremendous amount of fun.

• Q. : Why use Saraswati instead of Personal Evolution?
• A. : Because Saraswati allows the deck to be much more efficient click wise, and because you can put ANYTHING with a counter, you can bluff the opponent more easily.

The big jank part of this deck is about being near iceless. 50% of the power of the deck is around the fact that runner setup for ices that will NOT come into play. If the runner knows that part of the deck, they can be much more proactive and keep their programs as simple hitpoints.

Otherwise, the deck is rather resilient to econ denial.

This deck concept work currently because the current runner meta (June 2024) tend to go for a robust breaker suite. Because K2CP Turbine is a strong part of the meta, and most runner have limited MU.

If you find that you would like some more gear check, I suggest that you put Tatu-Bola instead of Bladderwort. This will slow down the runner a bit more and still give you credits.
