With the addition of Cupellation to rip deal is in a much better place. Mixing in Docklands Pass as well and you're quickly able to recur a hand full of cards with Rip Deal. Being it's a run event this slots really well into Prepaid Ken. With 3 Prepaid VoicePAD you actually gain a credit and are click neutral with Swift.

Ken “Express” Tenma: Disappeared Clone also has 17 influence which makes importing high impact run events in from other factions. With just 1-2 copies of key events you can grab them back alongside key event economy or even have a zero influence way to recur your Ashen Epilogue if you're going that way.

Cupellation is what really makes this card shine. I am currently running three copies in my Ken Deck. The interaction is such that you trash Cupellation before you recur with Rip Deal so it can self target the copy you used to expand your access amount. I will occasionally even do some cuppellation juggling. Have two Cupellation in play, one loaded and one empty. Run and access 4-5 cards so that you can extract key corp cards like End of the Line or Punitive Counterstrike. Next use Rip Deal to charge back in, get back your Cupellation and some other toys.

In faction you have plenty of solid targets

Out of faction Rip Deal lets you virtually run extra copies of cards you've dished out precious influence for. And puts them directly back in your hand.

  • Khusyuk is my current flavor.
  • Deep Dive is a great target and Rip Deal counts as one of your runs.
  • Trick Shot if you're gonna do some sort of Trick shot ken deck you could maybe make this work
  • Divide and Conquer is popular in some Criminals and this could get you a couple more uses.
  • En Passant going from 3 copies to 6 or 9 is pretty interesting in an econ denial crim...
  • Bahia Bands is actually a fantastic recurssion target vs Asset Spam where you'll want to keep getting runs, trash credits and card draw.

You do need to either empty your hand or have extra hand size to deal with the influx of cards.

Overall this card paired with Cupellation is performing a bit better than Initially anticipated for me.

I don't like this card. I think it warps the meta and is a bit of a one size fits all approach. It's gone from good stuff to best stuff with this card. Some might claim it's the fixed strength breakers but those are gated behind cumbersome boost costs. This card will typically save 3-6 credits per ice when using the icebreakers normally gated behind expensive boosting. Classic circumvention comes in the form of tools like Leech, Crew (i.e. taking tags) or something like monkey wrench which works on a single server.

This card bludgeons all of the other tools out of the way and this is all we see. Proponents claim this card keeps glaciers in check....yes while curbstomping any mid range ice based deck. Once a turbine comes out 80% of your ice is better to not even spend money on the rez. This will drive a lot of asset spam in the meta as players realize ice doesn't matter.

A more nuanced approach to toppling glaciers would be a card like Gebrselassie or Flame-out Adjusted Matrix and Dedicated Processor are the appropriate way to do boosting. I remember when The Personal Touch was a thing as well if we want perm boosts. Perhaps a series of "Seige" support breakers that grant +X str where X is the number of ice installed beyond the first piece.

Lots of more interesting ways to handle potential glacier issues without creating an Ice Doesn't Matter meta.

or even a card like Takobi

Writing a very niche review here due to something that came up in my game. Was up against a Knifing steve and my deck doesn't run deep ice so I was in a little bit of trouble. Knife doesn't want to score or care about scoring it puts pressure on the corp to beat their timeline.

Started installing remotes as a mix of Behold!, Project Beale Oracle Thinktank and Stoke the Embers. I looked like an asset spam deck in his mind so why wate time. I start slow advancing a few things, score out a Tomorrowʼs Headline to land 1 tag and slow him down.

Then the moment happened. I was able to chain 2x Stoke the Embers to get me to 6 points. He runs my other advanced agenda (Oracle Thinktank) which was behind Funhouse and alongside AMAZE Amusements. He couldn't ditch enough tags and I Psychographics out and scored a final agenda.

Older version of my deck had 2x Offworld Office but as a little Knife protection and to pop advancement tokens onto Behold! this makes the cut.

what format?

Thanks for sharing this information. I can't wait to see how it plays out in my next block blast session!

This ice is quite taxing until the runner decides to just float tags. Works really well for central protection in the tagging archetype. I want you to float tags, you don't want to deal with this on encounter so you want to float tags. Just don't get Mindscaped or go Psycho.

The cost is hefty but it's better than Cloud Eater where you have to rerez it every time you want its cool effect. One stolen or scored Send a Message will do the trick. Sucks to get emergency shutdown however.

A balanced version / replacement for Archived Memories. This gets you card draw and brings a card back from archives and makes you a little money. . It is however a double causing you a hit in tempo. One way to fix this (after Threat 3 has been achieved) is with Sudden Commandment. The 2 credits pay for most of the click-refund on commandment. This means you can spend 2 credits, draw 4 cards and add 1 card to your hand from archives for 1 click. You net 3 cards.

This is great to pair with a spin doctor if you're trying to "reach" for certain cards, esp if they would be gaming winning. Pull back 1x Mindscaping and "reach" for your 2nd copy while the runner happened to float 3 tags and be in a kill window. Or grab a Your Digital Life, make a ton of money and spend it on something like Psychographics.

This card is also very well paired with Oppo Research. Refill your hand, pick up the oppo you used last turn and keep piling on tags until the runner submits and just starts floating.

Most decks would rather opt for Spin Doctor or Sprint. This is very much a card for repeating quite specific combos and/or builld arounds.

To me, this appears more to be a replacement of Blue Level Clearance with a built-in Archived Memories as a positive side-effect.You have N cards in hand and <span class="icon icon-click"></span><span class="icon icon-click"></span> later you have N+2 cards in hand and more money.

Messed up the syntax somehow... I meant two cliks later you have two more cards in hand and more money.
