This is a good ice. It has its place in the meta.

But what is good about it? Let me explain.

  • It has 2 subs and cannot be ignored, since Cleaver is banned, it always cost 2 to break. While that isn't much, it is a good cost for something that is rezzed for only 2.
  • It is a cheap gear check, with a different ability than the equivalent in other factions.
  • It is only 1 influence. Very good for any corp that just want cheap gear check, especially in formats other than standard.
  • Arruaceiras Crew runners have to respect it. Especially now that Tsakhia "Bankhar" Gantulga is banned. As such, with Rising Tide, it depletes Audrey v2.

I encourage you to read D4v1d-Gr43b3r for the flavor and mechanic.

But it is not an excellent ice. Kessleroid can be used by Ob Superheavy Logistics: Extract. Export. Excel. to be imported after trashing a 3 cost card, such as Anthill Excavation Contract. Providing a small protection that can be trashed later for a 1 cost card.

Out of faction, it is easy to use, but is slightly outclassed by the equivalent in faction that are Ping, Tatu-Bola and Ablative Barrier.

The quote is nice and hint at the effect of the card. The art, however, I do not understand. It is probably too abstract for me. Good job nonetheless.

Anthill Excavation Contract is a good economy and draw card, but it shines brightest with Ob Superheavy Logistics: Extract. Export. Excel..

In Ob Superheavy, once it self trashz it fetch a 2-cost card at the beginning of the turn. Imagine, after clicklessly getting 2 cards and 5, you can fetch The Holo Man or Regolith Mining License at the beginning of the turn! What is a lot of efficiency!

Please read D4v1d-Gr43b3r review for more on the mechanic and flavor.

Outside of Ob Superheavy, it is good for any Weyland deck, as it force the runner to either let the corp gain a lot of tempo or run the remote where it is. Making the runner spend a Pinhole Threading for this is very good also.

Out of faction, Anthill Excavation Contract is outclassed by Humanoid Resources, both of which cost the same in influence and in trash cost. But it can have its place in a glacier strategy, where you want to spend time to build the board. Especially in HB deck, where it can be played alongside Humanoid Resources.

The art is evocative of the name and the effect of the card, with a quote that ties everything together quite well. Nice design.

Off the Books replace the agenda slot that was occupied by Project Atlas.

Weyland has, like Jinteki, 14 points worth of 3-2 agendas, with Off the Books, Azef Protocol and Above the Law. Allowing Weyland to build a fast advance deck.

Off the Books allows the corp to "chain" score agendas if they so wish. Also, Off the Books act as a better Malapert Data Vault, because it can install the card at no cost.

Off the Books is easier to use than Azef Protocol, because it does not require the corp to trash something on the board, making it better for corp deck that do not aim to flatline the runner.

The names is completely in line with the shady side of Weyland, with the art reinforcing the idea. All of which explain the effect of the agenda, in a nice synergy. Awesome design!

Greenmail replace the agenda alot of Hostile Takeover, but it is better, as it has no drawback.

When comparing with other 2-1 agendas (Élivágar Bifurcation, Hybrid Release, Post-Truth Dividend), Greenmail is the easiest to use because it has no cost.

Please read Kakpraatjies review for the flavor of the card.

The art is fun, with a fun quote, for a easy agenda. Well done!

N-Pot is like F2P, you can break it without a breaker, as long as you pay. In this sense it can be looked at like a "NBN bioroid".

As the game progresses, the ice becomes more expensive to break without a breaker or to break with a breaker, since more subs come online.

At 4 strength for 4 and 1 to 3 subs, N-Pot is little above curve. This is because few runner use Buzzsaw boosted by either GAMEDRAGON™ Pro or Leech.

Until 2025-08, the 3 printed subs mattered against runner who used Tsakhia "Bankhar" Gantulga. But now that it is banned, N-Pot is less threatening.

For NBN, the only other code gate that has any stopping power is Piranhas and Mestnichestvo, both of which are more expensive than N-Pot.

Expect to see this ice widely played on NBN deck.

Out of faction, it is ready to import for 2 influences. But there are other code gate ices that are better to import for a similar influence cost. Maybe in a format that is not standard.

The art seems to refers to a virtual transistor, for which the n-gate becomes a "n-pot", maybe the "pot" part refers to "potentiometer", allowing the power to be tuned. If that is the case, the quote for well with the concept and the effect of the card. Good design.
