Corp doesn't need money, right?

AEtl 1

HEEEEEELLLLPPPP

Only have one core and c&c for now. Open to suggestions for other sets to why but it's going to be a while coming so mostly looking for suggestions within those sets/general good links for building corp decks.

Thanks

Assuming you are looking to play HB:

What Lies Ahead would give you another ID (Haas-Bioroid: Stronger Together), plus Janus 1.0, Ash 2X3ZB9CY and Mandatory Upgrades.

Opening Moves would give you Jackson Howard, NEXT Bronze and Grim

Upstalk would give you NEXT Silver. Cyber Exodus would get you Project Vitruvius. Future Proof gets you Eli 1.0

As a general way to begin deckbuilding, pick a theme, and then add money. So you've gone with NEXT Design, which has the advantage of being able to put down up to 3 bits of ICE before your first turn. This can get you off to a good start, but you'll need money fast to keep the ICE train rolling.

Also, 6 pieces of your ICE serve no purpose but to put doen more ICE. You could probably do just as well by replacing them with more ICE.

None of your Bioroids are particularly expensive, so Bioroid Efficiency Research is not a good choice. Awakening Center is poor for the same reasons. Replace them with more money, if you can.

Tl;dr: If in doubt, a good place to start is to have loads of End The Run ICE in as cheap a form as possible, and then add money.

Yeah the theme was initially to be able to play the ridiculously expensive ice by playing the tricksy ice, but then I think I decided that all the stupid expensive ice was just just too expensive and don't know how much money to put in and yeah....

Thank you so much for your input :)

Some thoughts:

  1. How many agendas do you want to score to win? That will factor into how you set up your agenda spread. Common options:
  1. ICE. BGG user PhaseStar wrote a great primer on NEXT Design. The main point is that you probably need about 25 ICE to have a good enough chance of mulliganning into a 3-ICE install off the ID ability, and to have enough money to rez everything most of that ICE is going to need to be cheap. It should also be ETR (end-the-run) ICE, so you can get your economy assets online early and turn a profit from them. Cards like Quandary, Wraparound and possibly Paper Wall are your friend here. Going broke rezzing ICE to protect an Adonis Campaign stinks, because it's going to be at least 2 turns before you can get money to rez it and have it pay out. Once you have money you can afford to rez big stuff and build your scoring server etc. ICE that builds your position when the runner hits it are also great, so when you get the packs consider things like Caduceus, Architect and Pop-up Window. Given the constraints I'd try something like:

* 3x Ice Wall * 3x Wall of Static * 2x Heimdall 1.0 * 2x Heimdall 2.0 * 3x Rototurret * 3x Enigma (I'd prefer Quandary) * 3x Viktor 1.0 (the existence of Lotus Field has forced many runners away from Yog.0) * 2x Viktor 2.0 * 2x Tollbooth * 1x Chum * 1x Howler

So at this point we've used 34 cards (9 agendas + 25 ICE) and 8 influence.

  1. Operations. There aren't really any critical cards that this deck needs to recur, so I wouldn't be too fussed about Archived Memories. 1-of at most. Similarly, the only bioroid you can field that the runner can't just click through is Heimdall 2.0, so at most 1 Bioroid Efficiency Research as well. But you have a lot of little ICE that the runner's going to bounce off early, so that suggests Successful Demonstration. I'd try a suite like:
  1. Assets. Generally you want more money to rez stuff. Because you don't have access to the really cheap ICE or the economy ICE, your ICE suite is unusually expensive. Options:
  • Melange Mining Corp.: Pretty much perfect. If you have even one credit after fending off the runner's first turn you can still use it and it's a threat they've got to answer.
  • Adonis Campaign: Solid, doesn't clog up a scoring remote forever, turns a good profit when it eventually runs out. Can't install it unprotected, though. 3 for the runner to stop you gaining 8 is an easy choice, and if they have any of Bank Job, Desperado, Security Testing or Dirty Laundry you'll be sad.
  • Alix T4LB07: Although you're installing a lot early on, she's brittle (only 2 to trash!) and the timing is awkward. Pass.
  • PAD Campaign: The cost/benefit ratio for the runner makes it more likely to be left alone, particularly in a 1-ice server.
  • Aggressive Secretary: You don't have any cards that can bait runs, and something like this can be very fun. It also turns the cheap ETR ICE back on until the runner manages to find another breaker.

I'd probably take 2x Melange Mining Corp. and either 2x PAD Campaign or 2x Aggressive Secretary.
