Getting full Buffer Drive value: 1-3 at December AMT

Labor rights? We have Labor Rights at home.

This deck is based off of my old Gnat deck, which i originally tried testing in Loup. I then realized that I just need more multiaccess that isn't just a single Buffer-Drive-able Finality. I didn't want to drop any of the cards I currently had to keep stuff going, so obviously the play is to swap to Hoshiko Shiro: Untold Protagonist and bring the deck size up.

Being able to have any power card go straight to your hand from your discard is a pretty powerful effect. And in the case of rigshooter, it works as a backup 3rd breaker when you've been hit by an SDS or Trojan Horse.

Card choices

In my previous write-up, I talked about how having a mess of tech cards is pretty bad, since you end up having a lot of useless stuff. Now I see that the issue was more that I didn't have enough card draw to cycle through it all. I also feel like a lot of my card choices weren't too great, and this list I think is a bit better then the last:

Power cards

  • Finality: First big power card. I love it since it's effectively a free 2 credits when you draw it and then a constant threat for the rest of the game, or holdable for a surprise 6 cards with The Twinning.
  • Light the Fire!: My Pinhole Threading replacement. It's really good.
  • Chastushka: I added this as a last minute HQ pressure card, don't think it really works though. I'll probably replace it with Divide and Conquer in the future, or a Legwork if I can find influence.

Breakers

  • Boomerang: OK we all know this card is kind of insane, but can I just say that the shuffle is sooooo much better then knowing what's on the bottom of your deck. Getting a good chance to get those Strike Funds and Steelskins back early is so nice. I'm going to need to get at least 2 of these for v2.
  • Wtf is this breaker suite: I didn't have influence for everything that I wanted, so I spread out my suite to trade consistency for potential value. I think dropping the Num would be priority 1 for another Carmen, and Unity could be another Buzzsaw right now, so that might be the future swap.
  • Ice Carver: Honestly this felt like a staple in the current list since I didn't really have good reliability to get my Boomerang back. Really nice for Carmen and Buzzsaw support for Drafter and Mestnichestvo.

Other

  • No Free Lunch: Tags are very scary. These are great, and you can always play them for money if you're overdrawing with Earthrise Lago and Hoshiko triggers drawing you almost a new hand every turn.
  • Bahia Bands: Ok there might be a point where I have too much draw on my hands. I had a lot of situations where stuff was a biiiiit too expensive for me to effectively use 4 or 5 cards each turn. Might replace with Dirty Laundry.
  • Steve Cambridge: Master Grifter is pretty good as some extra recursion since Buffer Drive is more of a last-resort card.
  • The Companions: Didn't really know what I was doing here, though I like having Fencer Fueno as kind of a tech card into asset spam. Never ran into any, so not sure if it's good or not. Mystic Maemi could be a replacement, but I found myself never paying for any events except for Sure Gamble + the solo credit for Chastushka (Everything else is either free with patchwork or dumped with patchwork).

All in all, not a great showing but I think this list could definitely be improved. Had a lot of fun playing it though, would definitely recommend!
