Is this deck any good? Not really - but it's cool when it works. You could play Lat with Deep Dive and do the same thing, but twice as fast and probably four times as easily. But where's the fun in that?
I wanted to try building a deck around Khusyuk, as I like the art, and it's fun to try using a card that doesn't really see any play. I determined that 1-cost cards wouldn't work for it, as there just aren't enough of them that install and stick on the board - most of them are temporary or have some trash ability. So, the next cheapest option is 2-costs, and what could be easier for that than just installing 3 Prepaids and playing a bunch of events? Then you only need three more 2-costs for max Khusyuk value, which you can easily find in Criminal; this is also complemented by the Az discount every turn.
The plan:
This deck can actually spread the corp fairly thin, as it can exert pressure on all three central servers (Archives with Pinhole and Bahia Bands, R&D with Khusyuk, and HQ with Alarm Clock and Docklands Pass). This can slow the game down or allow you to snipe an agenda from the remote, both of which allow more time to set up for the Khusyuk Exodia!!
The main weakness of this deck is any corp that goes fast, as it takes many turns to set up Khusyuk and if you constantly have problems to deal with on the board then you will likely not have the econ to continue installing the necessary cards. Also, anything that can block your Khusyuk runs (AgInfusion, Border Control, Bio Vault, etc.) makes the game hard as it essentially kills this deck's main win condition.
For other card considerations / deck changes:
Matches at the CO:
Loss vs. @Dave976 on Ob:
Hit two SDSs back to back from R&D single accesses on like turn four and still managed to lose. He scored the third SDS and trashed my Curupira, which left me with only Boomerangs to get through barriers. Had a potential winning line that I missed near the end of the game where I could've sent a Khusyuk into unknown ice with only a Cat's Cradle down, but that ended up being a Stavka, which could have tutored a Crisium Grid and blocked the success (assuming it was in the list). In any case, I decided against that plan, and he ended up scoring out just before time.
Win vs. @Supernaut on Asa:
Kept him poor for the majority of the game by challenging most ice to be rezzed and clearing the board with Miss Bones. Stole one stranded agenda from a remote, another one hidden on the board in an empty remote, and then sealed the game with a click and credit perfect Ikawah steal from Khusyuk before he could FA out the final points he needed to win.
Win vs. @xdg on PE:
Hit a few agenda points off R&D singles early in the game, and mostly spent time setting up while periodically dealing with the mounting Prana threat. Game got spooky once he scored a Regenesis + Fujii to get to 6 points. I decided to send the Khusyuk with only five two-costers down as I had to make something happen, and hit a Hybrid Release to get to 4 points. I then had to decide: I could go for the win by hitting a Fujii with the second Khusyuk I had in hand, or just draw up to prevent dying to Prana next turn, and hope nothing else could happen that would lose me the game, like unexpected damage or an FA'd agenda. I chose to live or die by the Khusyuk and ran it back, hitting the Fujii I needed to get the W.
Very satisfying that both wins were off of Khusyuk!! The deck far surpassed my expectations at this CO - I thought it was going to be an easy 0-3, but I am happy to have been proven wrong.

I thought about Masterwork, but actually never tried it - when I was considering it, I forgot about the card draw part of it, so looking at it again now it seems way more useful. When I was considering it, I figured that there are more turns where I play a run event (even just Carpe Diem-ing for money w/o run) than turns where I run and have a hardware to install (especially for extra money), so Swift would be more value. Card draw is a real issue though unless you can draw a Nuka / Class Act, so anything helps. With that plus the Cezve interaction, it's definitely worth a shot! I could see it being better than Swift. I had tried Q-Loop for a bit, to set up faster and double dip on the Az discount (although installs break even with the 1c to use), but ended up cutting it because there actually aren't too many good targets for it to hit (mainly just Prepaids or Cezve), and installing it in the first place (as a one-coster) sets you back effectively one install for Khusyuk value. |

yeah I think there's definitely arguments on both sides - with the amount of events Swift is probably more consistent but maybe Masterwork (v37) has a higher ceiling when the chips fall your way. Reckon I'll give the deck a try and see how it feels! |

My pet deck for the last while has been very similar to this, but in Ken for the run credits and extra inf. I like the Az discount as a means of accelerating the start! Might have to make the swap. |
Absolutely love this - congrats on the performance. I was wondering, did you consider Masterwork (v37) for the console? It sort-of gives you the click compression you get with Swift while helping you build your rig. Good with Cezve too
